WTF? It's been over an hour since the last LOI. Late sleepers????

and Harris doesn't need to sign one.

Moss is probably the biggest concern of the day, but it's been a month or so since we heard he was wavering a bit.

Moss, Pfaff, Teller and Harris??? Their LOIs aren't in yet.

He showed up to take his All American bowl picture with a shirt and bowtie and they probably told him to throw his jersey on over it. I don't see the big deal. Hokiesports probably chose that as his picture because of the All American jersey.

If Jefferson and Kendall can both play right away that would be huge. Once Exum comes back that would give them depth that was severely lacking last year. Its especially exciting thinking further down the road to the secondary in '14 and '15.

Thank goodness Kendall Fuller's got talent on the football field. Because based on his profile picture on HokieSports, he has absolutely no taste in fashion. Honestly, one of the gaudiest outfits I've ever seen.

Probably my favorite quote of the day....

"I wanted to go in-state, so it was between Tech and UVa. I just couldn’t see myself waking up every morning at UVa."

He also played basketball for his HS which shows some athleticism for such a big guy. I'm excited about him

I have no idea what Lovecraftian and Cthulhu means. Sounds like something out of my 9 year old's Pokemon card set.

"nobody showed interest in me but tech" is that true?

Interesting Carlis Parker comments, especially since a lot of people on here would like to see him playing reciever.

"I chose Tech because I loved the campus when I came up there. I think I can focus on school and be focused in football. They have a winning program there, and Frank Beamer was serious about me being a quarterback. A lot of schools wanted me to move to receiver, but he really wanted me as a quarterback. That said a lot."

I'm high on Bucky and even Leal and with Loeffler going hard for 2014 quarterbacks already Carlis' best shot of getting on the field may be at another position. Also, HokieSports.com lists him as a quarterback while Rivals lists him as an Athlete. Maybe the intention is to keep it competitive between Parker and Bucky and then have him make a Marcus Davis like switch to WR? Thought it was interesting.

Does Thomas Smith need to sign another LOI? Any updates on him?

I'm excited about these true O-Line prospects working with Grimes. First group of kids that will learn from him from the get go.

I enjoy seeing people's comments on why they chose VT on Hokiesports. Especially Deon Newsome “It felt like the right thing to do. It’s not far from home. It was down to UVa and Tech, and I didn’t want to go to UVa.” Makes it a pretty easy decision when he puts it like that!

I've heard good things since last spring about this kid, and remember looking up his film at the time and wondering why he did not have more offers. I re-watched his film last week and cut it off after the pick from robber coverage at the goal line, looks like an awesome fit for Foster & Gray.

If he ends up doing so (which is really likely) I agree with CFB's decision to redshirt Bucky and have him learn under Loeffler -- it can only help him. It's a shame that Mark Leal will probably end up like JuJu and never start a season, he's performed well when his number's been called.

Great work as always, French! :)

He's listed by Virginia Tech as 6-4 280, his Rivals.com profile previously listed him at 6-4 255. I thought he'd project to guard, and looks like he is on his way. I'm going to assume his dad, Eugene, has him on a nice strength and conditioning plan.

FOOTWORK. He seems like he has pretty light feet and good footwork for a guy his size. He keeps his feet chopping in the pocket, so he's quickly able to plant his back foot and throw the ball.

This kid is going to make a difference whether he makes it back for Alabama or not. He is going to put fire in the team more than the coaches ever could.

Osterloh looks like a pretty good prospect, but Jonathan McLaughlin impresses me more. Either way, at least they're not tight ends that need converting.
