Virginia alone has three 5 stars according to Rivals. California,Florida, and Texas have three 5 stars combined. I expect VT to be in it until the very end for Da'Shawn Hand,Andrew Brown,Derrick Nnadi, and Steven Moss. I could see us landing all of them. We are the undisputed favorites for CJ Reavis,Jalyn Holmes, and Ricky Walker. I expect us to land them. Quin Blanding and Jamil Kamara are drinking the blue Hoo kool-aid. Caleb Henderson is the odyssey. I believe he will head out of state. Those are the top 10 recruits in the state of Virginia for 2014. VT could and probably should land 7 of the 10.
my bad
Yeah, I debated on whether to include them in my post. The commercials for ESPN Insider/Recruiting Nation crack me up. Worst recruiting site ever (I only have access because I have an ESPN Mag subscription).
Such a good class in Virginia this year. Most of them are high on Virginia Tech, except Blanding, whose top choice is UVA (what?) I fully expect them to nab like 50% of those 4/5 star guys and make significant progress in the Carolinas. Its gonna be a good one
I know there was talk towards SGA to make old designs available. I'd personally love to see that so you can replace worn out/stolen by ex gf shirts designs that you favor.
I hope many of you fans are actually looking at the talent at tightend talent and are not going soley on what you hear. Do not over look Duan Perez-Means This kid played tightend/wide receiver in high school. This kid can catch, run routes with the best of them, he can go wide or play close and he is a good blocker. Go back and look at the spring and fall practices,he avg just as many receiveing yards if not more than Randall Dunn and Ryan Malleck. I am not knocking these guys but, donot count this kid out.
Already have two four star commits.
With a loaded state and new coaches/philosophy, recruiting should really take a step forward this year.
Every year the UVA game is at home, I have submitted a maroon tuxedo t-shirt that says on the back "save a collar, pop a wahoo". Guess it's going to have to come from the community!
I know people have been asking for them too, and I just wanted to let people know they aren't associated with the ones that'll be officially sold by the site.
I hope many of you fans are actually looking at the talent at tightend talent and are not going soley on what you hear. I strongly believe that Duan Perez-Means is being overlooked once again. This kid played tightend/wide receiver in high school.
I heard it mentioned Hand is interested in Civil. If that's the case we're in good shape. I graduated from VT in civil and there aren't many better programs that offer D1 football. Michigan is one of the few unfortunately that has a program as good or better than tech. Let's hope he wants to stay in state.
I liked this years orange effect. I thought it was great. The maroon was okay. Hopefully they'll have the t-shirts for sale on Relay/Spring Game weekend so I can pick them up.
Guys on Rivals during their chats say for VT to have a top 10 class they need to have a great record in 2013. Right now this could be our best class on paper with a 7-6 record with a subpar recruiting staff. This new staff is loaded with strong recruiters and the philosophies have changed drastically. I expect big things on the field and on the recruiting trails.
Cav handles the recruits and their activities on campus. From what I understand, Stiney and Cav work together to make a recruiting plan and Stiney is more involved off campus since he's allowed to do so, unlike Cav. I would imagine that Cav makes the phone calls and Stiney will make the appearances.
Isn't he all but retired? Does a lot of alumni interfacing, but it seems like every year he steps a little further back from the team.
If Stiney is in charge of this kind of stuff, what is Cavanaugh doing these days?
Would love to see TKP community take over the design. Personally, I think the shirts haven't been any good since 2006.
It can't be any worse than last year... right?

I actually have a few friends that work at CustomInk (sales & graphics). I can try to get a better deal through them if anyone wants?
No hard feelings if STAFF wants to remove my posts and offer. You're also welcome to use/modify the design as you see fit, or take over the sales & distribution. The CustomInk site was pretty user friendly, and I was pleasantly surprised at the prices, in case y'all are looking for a vendor.
Just responding to some wishful comments for a shirt expressed on this forum.
It's all part of our grand new scheme!

Downvote all you want people. It doesn't change facts.
Thought the same thing!! But I also thought they should've just kicked it.
And of course to our new dining hall. If only we had our indoor practice facility being constructed we could have some more appeal for them. Something to say "hey, even though it gets really flipping cold here in the winter, we have a nice facility that's all ours to practice in." If you ask me, that's a solid pull for those players from southern states that aren't used to anything below 50 degrees.

Imagine Nnadi, Holmes, Hand, and Brown on the same dline. Nice
