..winning games, right? That's the point, and really what the coaches are thinking. Let's play the guy who helps us win the most games.

i coach my son in soccer and baseball ... fortunately, he's a little stud of an athlete :) .. but to be honest, sometimes he gets the shit end of the stick because of it. i try to go out of my way to not give him preferential treatment if he doesn't deserve it and i'm definitely harder on him than the other kids

as far as chung goes, i feel like we have better options for an OL coach out there, some with more coaching experience. from what i've read, he was the S&C coach (or the asst S&C coach) and was just moved into an asst OL coach role this season ... he wasn't impressive as an nfl'er even though he was drafted in the 1st round. not saying that he couldn't do the job, just saying it's a risky move -- that the staff really doesn't need to take. there are better options out there for OL .. Malone at JMU has coached a pretty decent line from what i've read (at least running the ball), todd washington has considerably more coaching experience, go get the OL coach from Tennessee .. he seems like a good one .. just saying we have less-risky options .. that's all

I could see him having a lot of upside, but if there's one thing we learned this year it's that we really need depth in the secondary.

Just messing with you, but I'd have to look into what sort of framework TKP currently uses to see if it has the ability to make notifications for those things. The larger this becomes though, the more it will be a TKP community effort.

But #30 on the Giants got away with a serious block in the back IMO. Still a beautiful runback by Wilson, and I doubt #44 of the Saints was going to make the play as he was turning outside while Wilson had just cut inside.

From an FCS perspective, getting to the lowest level of the ACC is a step in the right direction, especially for a team trying to earn respect prior to entering ConfUSA. I just thought the comparison was a little lame considering how much Duke is a basketball school and their football program has been such a joke prior to Coach Cutliffe. I really do hope ODU does well enough to beat UVA soon, just so long as they never beat Tech and keep their hands off of the top 20 or so recruits in Virginia. There is a lot of talent in the Richmond to Tidewater corridor that they can pick off from other FCS programs that currently shop there like W&M, UR and JMU.

Are the only thing that will change minds.

Agreed. I got excited when I saw Lunardi's bracketology on the AP twitter page and then was disgusted that the Hokies weren't on the list.

It's gonna be a long season of fighting for some respect. I mean come on, Virginia and Florida State over us, really? I know it's early, but that's just ridiculous.

Haters Gonna Hate

Yeah, I had nothing against the move. I'm just saying thaat was a factor.

In fairness, Green had sort of lost control of the ball when the timeout was granted. We wouldn't have made it to the front court with any kind of time left, and maybe not at all.

One could even blame the shot not being high percentage because the timeout was called before they reached the frontcourt... If I recall correctly, the announcers criticized JJ for that move as we had to take it with 4 seconds in the backcourt.

with Coach Johnson thus far. If he keeps this up, he can f my girl ANY day

let me know if you need any help on getting some footage. or if while watching the game you notice a play you would like included, go ahead and write down the time on the clock and I can do my best to cut it up.

I am psyched to see this but I wish some of the fellow students would see this also. It's pathetic that it takes a Thursday Night FSU game to pack the stadium, and even then some fans were leaving at half because "it was too cold". Same goes for basketball too, because the Oklahoma State game was hyped and the atmosphere was incredible. If the students could bring even close to that passion to all the games, we'd be set. That being said, Blacksburg is a great place to watch some football and I can't wait for next season.

you are the reason why I have decided to participate in this forum. I have been reading The Key Play for a couple months now, but it is you who just sparked up recently that really made me interested in this place. You are everything I imagine a Hokie to be: imaginative, analytical, curious, friendly, but most of all, you carry the spirit of ut prosim that we all strive to follow. You sir, are a true American and an inspiration to us all. Now with that, let's get this going #StartWillJohnston
