Just keep winning because we could leave Vegas with two important wins.
They never look at "ugly wins" come bubble time. A win is a win, and the best part was that Green, Brown and Eddie all got to sit and rest their legs. It wasn't their fault that this game (or tournament) was scheduled, but they handled it extremely well.
I'm with you man, I'm a die hard Pats fan myself (great game last night btw) so I hate the giants picked up two of my Hokies, but what you gonna do? I still cheer them on, all with a little hope that free agency comes into play and they're not wearing giants blue anymore after a few years haha.
Capt Downvote. You've been warned. :)
Christian Beyer - 14min, 5 rebounds, 2 made FTs - from a walk-on.
It's unlikely we'll see him much on the floor the rest of the year, but that dude gave us great effort in what started as a lackluster game.
I will probably start with an Android App first to get it working right and then bring it to Apple. I won't set a timeline on it since this will be more of a free time project to help all of you guys out, but I will do my best. Once I start it, I'll create a post that will ask for specific features people want, but my thought is that you can navigate through the main page, check "What's New?", edit your profile, navigate to articles and comment or +1/-1, and create new blog posts and forum topics. Other features, like the Recently Active Forum Topics, the Big Board, and things like that will come later once I get the most important stuff working. Of course, this would all need to be approved by Joe and any other staff of TKP to make sure they approve and will allow me to use aspects of their design.
its a good thing the delta devils cant shoot for shit, because they would have had a sizeable lead in the first half.
"At halftime, Joey Racer wrote “effort” on the board and Coach Johnson wrote “attitude”. The team listened, and dominated."
-love it
Anybody see Jayron get in and make some plays too? Great night all around for the Hokies, fun to watch!
Haha, nearly doubling your turkey leg total in one comment.... Brilliant.
That's weird, I thought I sent it. Sorry about that, at least we won though
Great now I'm hungry. lol.
DUDE! I WOULD ACTUALLY GO TO JAGS GAMES IF THEY PICKED UP TYROD!
i have very mixed feelings about this being a loyal Patriots fan since i was 10 years old who hates the ny giants almost more than uva, miami hurricanes and miami heat* combined. 18-1 hurts worse than Tyrod not winning a Title
*DIE HARD CELTICS FAN
Maybe Jacksonville could grab him for next year? We suck so bad...
Being from the 757, I'm looking forward for the opportunity to see Tech play, without the 5 hour drive, after I graduate.
And ODU will continue to increase their share of 757 recruits as they move to FBS, meaning the games could have recruiting implications. Unless ODU's staff follows the UVA approach
I feel so sorry for RW. I thought he had as much potential as any player VT has put in the NFL for a long time. He had all the skills to be a very productive back. I hope he comes back stronger than ever, but that team is struggling horribly. 6 points in 2 games......OUCH!
They just finished their 4th season of football since reviving their program in 2009.
And if they continue improving like they have been, they may be a power within C-USA by that point, better than ECU. Their worst record in 4 years is 8-3, and they finished 2nd and 1st in the CAA (arguably the SEC of 1-AA) the past 2 years, going 10-1 this past regular season.
would his blocking scheme he teaches fit in line with whichever (could be every) direction the the new scheme will go?
newsome came from that spread game and his blocking never fit wit the offense, until it bastardized it.
This would be great for starting another in state rivalry and even better now that ODU is stepping up to C-USA. Just wish they would do this with basketball too.
They are starting their transition towards FBS in 2013. The first year, they are technically still FCS, but ineligible for the postseason, and the following year they are technically FBS, but ineligible for the postseason. UMass, Texas State, UTSA and South Alabama all did that this year, joining conferences but ineligible for conference championships or bowl games.
My guess is that they will be a "provisional" C-USA member in 2014, playing a number of C-USA teams but ineligible for the C-USA championship game or a bowl game.
Didn't get it, but luckily they still had student tickets for free. Thanks for trying.
+1 this comment for days. I'm dead.
at least its not another extension of the ecu series. i truly know nothing about odu. all schools have these games on their schedule so im not real opposed to it.
Do you really think teams like Alabama and LSU are going to stop scheduling cupcakes in their season because of this?
Bottom line is win out and you're in. You have to admit, this type of game is an improvement over an Austin Peay. That is, as long as this is one of our weaker games in the OOC schedule. A C-USA team mixed in with a big-east team or two isn't a bad OOC schedule, and we all know Weaver, we will likely continue to play big earl games (See Bama and Boise).

I have been really critical of him, he just hasn't seemed comfortable out there. He looked good last night. JVZ was active as well and we did a much better job doubling the post (of course their big guy sucked).
Cadarian was bad. 0 points, 4 rebs, 5 fouls against MVSU? It seems to me his conditioning isn't up to par. He did have that good dish to CJB though.
Erick was Erick, Brown was off but still was active. Even when Eddie's scoring isn't there, he's our best rebounder
