We should just run it every time. I don't care if teams key on it. Throw the slant to Fuller. It's money. Except when Logan missed the target that last drive...

Yes, but we should have been going for the jugular vein on that drive. You have to admit that playcalling got a little soft there. We went from balance to run, run, run once inside the 20.

It was by far our best chance to get 3 yards. Benedict just flat out missed his block, it's like he didn't even see the LB in the hole, he ran right past him.

Yeah I don't understand the QB read call there, it hadn't really been that effective all night and the defense was keying on Thomas on third and short.

BOW: 'Pistols at Dawn' by Lonerider Brewing here in Raleigh. The name in itself is badass. The beer is pretty good, too.

'High noon will have to take a backseat as the fresh morning air is perfect for a duel. We present our stout brewed with roasted malts, oats, lactose, and locally produced chocolate and coffee. A rich, dark velvety beer with a fine oatmeal flavor.'

Yup.... That was such a roller coaster ride of a game. I thought it was gonna end up like Miami last year when we were driving on our 2nd to last possession (not the one to end the game). But then playcalling got too safe and conservative and we settled for a damn field goal.

Beamer said earlier in the season that more and more NFL scouts were asking about him. I can only imagine the numbers have increased with the continued success he's had each week. He may be the only player from the offense to get drafted this year.

I love the game so much. I hate to see stretchers, neck braces, and ambulances during any game, especially ours. Like Wise & Rece Davis said, that's the best news of the night

I loved how LANE chanted "Let's go - Hokies" as he was being driven out. That was a special moment. Similar to the benches clearing for Marcus Lattimore and the crowd giving him a standing o until he was off the field. Special moments like these really show that football is just a game, but the love/pride/respect we have for our schools and players goes way beyond that.

Could not disagree more.

Coles can actually catch, is smooth in space, is not afraid to block, and ran hard routes.

Marcus Davis can't catch, looks very awkward running with the football (WTF was that fumble?), is a 16 year old girl when it comes to blocking, and dogs it on routes where he is not the primary receiver. Wide Receiver will be an upgrade next year.

Exum played hard and is improving each week. Even Bonner played good. Kyle Fuller needs to work on man to man coverage skills, but he'll be better next year.

I do a weekly pick em for my work too and most games this week are atrocious.

Michigan -- Meh

Oregon State -- #BeaverJuice

Baylor -- points points points

Penn State -- errr

Bama -- they could beat the Jags 9/10 times

Kansas State -- In Bill Snyder we trust

My heart was pounding throughout this whole game. That is what Thursday night football is about at Lane. Eventhough we lost, I thought we kicked the shit out of them. Overall team effort was outstanding.
