Just have somebody playing the game against whoever our opponent is that week, and it would probably be a better system than what we're currently using.

Teel's article was spot on. It's nice to read a columnist not sugar coat it sometimes.

Seriously: I really hope the folks in charge start making lists of people to talk to right now. In fact start making phone calls (off the record of course) in order to set us up for success as soon as the season is over. At the very least O'Cain needs to go, but really (obviously) its FINALLY time for a new Offensive Coordinator. People like Heather Dinich (why do I still get surprised when she annoys me so??) repeatedly defend him against the fan base but I think most have to see the writing on the wall.

I don't understand how the commentators could watch everything in slo-mo from multiple angles but the refs couldn't. Clearly the capabilities were there but were ignored.

I like how David Teel called O'Cain "Frank" to start the interview. I guess our coaching staff all seem the same, considering they say the same things after all our losses.

These two bad calls occurred pretty close to each other. They didnt show Beamer on the broadcast after the bad sack call but he was livid after the missed fumble call. He looked like he was going to choke someone

We have not been too good on our hires on the O side of the ball. Remember O'cain was brought in to help/fix stiney...I just worry what bargain basement OC we are going to hire to replace/supplant what we have now.

What was Beamer's reaction right after each of those??! He better have been going off on a ref, seriously.

The "sack" was the worst call ever. How can anyone watch that and agree with the refs???

Touche salesman.

What an awesome season. Considering my whole family is wv"u" (although the last 2 weeks have been exquisite) and I work with not one, but two Notre Dame alums.

If that's not the straw the breaks the camel's back in terms of the administration giving in to the fanbase's demands for new playcallers there never will be one.

It took 03 for 04-11 to happen (esp: defensively).

Perhaps this is what we need.

6-6 isn't good enough for a bowl. Peay is 1aa.

The only thing I've got left is wv"u" schadenfreude.

Please do it, so I have something to show people when I say how bad ACC refs are. You should include other times we've been screwed (ex: Ref moving the ball forward to give GT a first down after it was measured short: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTfCI-tJy_Y)

I warn you though, the above video will piss you off.

So they did not have the ability to slow down the review film, just for this game or is that normal practice? That's fuckin retarded and it makes the review system very useless.

At the end of the day, the Sugar Bowl is an exhibition game. Like the other bowls, dollars have diminished the tradition. Obviously, I want to win every game, especially one against a ranked opponent, but the Clemson game wasn't any less important. On the table before kickoff: avoid going 0-3 against a rising ACC power in a little over a calendar year, stay at the top of the Coastal Division, beat a ranked team, gain back some national credibility. The only intangible the Sugar Bowl had over this game, a bigger stage.

I'm writing something longer about it, but in short this call was worse than the Coale run because it's the wrong situation, bad play (second time they tried the damn thing) and personel. Coale was just 2 of the 3. I don't mind the ball in Coale's hand trying to win the game.
