For some reason I feel like they'll go back to Holmes or even Gregory... I don't know why, but it just seems like one of those things this coaching staff would do just to confuse the hell out of us.
agreed, I've liked jc all season, I hope that since this game the coaches will actually stick with him. I'm scared for some reason they'll go with someone else next week.
Now let's hope we actually stick with him. I don't want us to go back to a different starter after this type of performance... If we do, I want to know what and why it happened.
That's embarrassing for us... What is wrong with the student section???
Had the game of his career. Did not see him take a single play off, was making solid blocks on the outside, and running routes irregardless of whether he was the primary reciever or not. Shame he got hurt after that second TD grab. Does anyone know what happened to him? I didnt see him back in the game after that play.
Welcome to the site, sir.
Whatever was said by the coaches at halftime, particularly by Coach Wiles presumably to his defensive line, should be said before every single play. Those guys were dominant in the second half, and I don't think Duke had a single first down in the 3rd quarter. In fact, the Hokies scored 17 points on three drives while Duke netted -7 yards and punted twice before the quarter ended.
If our defensive line plays that inspired the rest of the way, we've got a shot against anyone on the schedule.
The switch was flipped for this team halfway through the 2nd qtr and we can expect this type of play from now on!
Malleck hauled in the 3rd down pass, not Miller. We know what you meant though.
Other than that, it was a good win although I'd love to forget the 1st quarter. Defense played great in the 2nd half. JC Coleman should be our starter, spell him with Gregory, and use Scales in a few short yardage situations (HE SHOULD NOT BE GETTING HANDOFFS OUT OF THE SHOTGUN. He proved that by getting tackled by the turf). Receivers had a few drops but were otherwise solid...
Let's carry this forward. Especially the nasty D. I loved the way the front 7 performed.
On that note - JOE, BOX, SOMEBODY PUT TOGETHER A .GIF OF JAMES GAYLE'S GORGEOUS POWER RUSH. I almost cried at how awesome that was.
GODDAMN RIGHT
We beat a team we were supposed to beat, once again
I was changing the oil in my car, what did i miss?
You must be talking about my good friend Eddie, LT3s dad.
I believe again...
200th win at Lane! 523 yd of total offense! GO HOKIES!
Wrong score, but you have the margin about right.
Great open field tackle followed by a sack. His "I just ate his lunch" sign was hilarious
That was some beautiful defense. Nicolas getting the ball loose and the rest of the DL there to fall on it.
Pic?
Sorry bro, wishful thinking
I'm out at the ass-end of Texas, it's only on ESPN3 here
On Fox in Jacksonville, ACC network coverage of course
Very surprised its on tv down here
Ack! ESPN3 just broke for me!
+1 for making me rewind it to check out that craziness

He gave up on the first deep pass. Announcers said the sun was in his eyes...but looked like he pulled up before turning his head. Also on the Gregory bobble/interception he was coming in for a block, pulled up and whiffed...allowing the guy to intercept the pass. At that point it was a typical Marcus day. However, once he caught that beautiful, long pass (perfectly using his body) the light went off and he (as you accurately put it had a career day). Hopefully the light stays lit for him...he's a senior and needs to be a leader by setting the tone early. A crushing block would be a great way to it!
