Wake - I think the Deacs will keep it somewhat interesting early but won't get totally blown out.
Arkansas - I think they are going to surprise many and keep it close early, but lose by about 20 points, I don't think Bama will roll too high on this one mainly b/c it's at home for the pigs.
Tennessee - close game, but they will win by a TD at home.
USC - I have a feeling Barkley has a big game and ESPN goes ahead and awards him the Heisman early.
ND - close game, I think ND will pull out a win in this one.

I hope everything he says is true and then some. I really hope we learn more about our offensive plan for the season through this game. Once it's in hand, I would think the coaches will be using this game to better shake out plays and players.

# | How bad do you want success in our football program? How bad does our football program want success? Everyone defines success differently, and I think the team can achieve different levels of success each season. Without argument, the ultimate goal of the program is to win the national championship, and even though we haven't won it, yet, I still think we've been successful.
Each season is different, and needs to be evaluated individually, but on the whole since we moved to the ACC, if Tech doesn't beat UVa and at least play for the ACC Championship, it's not a successful season. The ten-wins-a-season streak is nice, but winning the conference championship is more important. There's no politicking involved, be the best team in the division, and play for a league title (unless you're UNC).
To answer your original question, I want a MNC badly, but honestly, not as bad as I used to. Clean hands rarely hoist the crystal, and I truly believe Tech does it the right way. I'm proud of that, and don't want it to change.

they've had extra time to prepare, and they're probably sick of the criticism. the atmoshere will be less than electric, and i could see a lot of our players maybe not taking pitt seriously. dont get me wrong, i think we'll win but as corso says: closer than the experts think.

And I don't think it will be blacked out. The UVA/GT game, however, does look like it will blacked out.
When there is "no hope" for the other team, VT seems to find a way to give them hope. Reminds me of the Syracuse game in 2002. SU sucked, were 3-6 at the time, losing to the likes of BYU, UNC and Temple. VT, ranked 8th at the time, played some terrible defense, lost 50-42 in triple overtime.

I hope I don't hear us talking like this about our team any time soon. I don't mean to say that he's criticizing them openly or anything, but reading his responses and the hurt that you can see in them.

The problem is that I'm at a university and hooked up to their cable provider through an ethernet jack, where they track what I do online.
Therefore, I can't type in my cable provider information or billing information for the Watch ESPN thing because the University owns it. Believe me, I've tried.... It sucks a big one.
What I mean by that is Texas and Notre Dame both have their own TV network deal. The only difference is that Notre Dame is not a "football" member in the ACC, but Texas is in the Big 12. Notre Dame still playing 5 ACC schools in football. I don't like it, but oh well we still need to get one of those top 4 spots to have a chance to fill that empty national championship trophy case, so it doesn't really matter.
i usually go for bourbon and ginger ale and then switch back and forth with any cheap beer when i need a change of taste. i can't drink wild turkey anymore because i drank half a bottle for the michigan game and i'm superstitious. so i'm drinking bulleit this season.
i bought some firefly sweet tea bourbon (yes, bourbon) because i found it on liquidation sale. it's actually really tasty to drink straight up, but i feel like it's not fierce enough for me to drink on gameday.
and i'm definitely getting some of that yuingling oktoberfest for this pitt game. that's not even a question.
You may be able to use WATCHESPN app. I know that here, I can watch ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU live online using it. the issue is that most cable companies seem to be one or the other.
