Kansas State
tOSU
Florida
LSU
Nebraska
UGA

Ooops, I almost forgot. Due to a very late night or super early morning, here are my picks. Please print out this article, set a reminder in your phone on May 1 and then read this again and see if you would rather watch these games or House Hunters Season 84/Episode 156 for 4th time. Its college football!

theU KState is the popular pick so I am going opposite George here.

tOSU Its a big # but UCF is in the Big East, I think. B1G>Big East.

aTm Lauren Tannehill picture! That is worth more than 1.5 points. I don't like this pick but she is kinda hot.

uDub Keith Price can throw. uDub had a caged tiger at practice this week. Brilliant! They won't win but the number is too big.

Cornholes I am going opposite George even though there is a cheer babe picture.

UGA Even though Georgia will only field 38 players, I think they will cover/win.

This picks were brought to you by a bunch of different drinks including a Manhattan, Rose Wine and pilner brewed near the Washington/Canada border by Alpine Beer Co. It was the first time I have had this and it was quite good.

GO HOKIES

Got up at 6am, did some video editing for a future article, then went for a 3 mile run and a 20 min swim BECAUSE IM SO EXCITED. t-minus 10 min till beer.

As for watching the game, cool thing about my setup is everything is run through an HTPC I built so I'll just pull up espn3 on it and screen capture with fraps to record.

I did my undergrad at Marshall University, only about 3 hours away in Huntington, W.Va. (and often a VT warm-up September opponent). Surprisingly, despite having a movie made about our football team and the old D-II national championship days in the '90s, I was NOT a MU football fan. Heck, I wasn't even a football fan.

So my girlfriend (who I met at Marshall) had transferred to Virginia Tech during my senior year (her junior year) of college. Naturally, VT was one of the grad schools I applied to that year — and they gave me the best deal in terms of assistantship money, etc. It was perfect — my girl, the most money and an amazing, beautiful setting that reminded me of home and my West Virginia roots (VT is only about 90 minutes from where I grew up right across the border in the Beckley, W.Va. area).

My girl WAS a football fan. I was not. I had never taken time to learn the game and didn't go to games at MU. But she persuaded me to sneak into a game at Lane Stadium, I think my first game was against ECU — we won that one, and the whole experience won me over. I was a Hokie. And I loved football.

Not only because of football, but also because of the great people I met, the amazing professors, a wonderful town and countryside setting — just everything — I treasure my two years of grad school at VT more than my four years of undergrad. I really, really love Virginia Tech. I've become a rabid fan and supporter, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

GO HOKIES!

My thoughts are that this is going to be an amazingly relaxing thing to watch. A blowout that will be fun because we'll get a good look at some of our backups.

In other news, Cox has decided not to carry this game in northern Virginia, yet they have Miami, UVa, NC State, New Hampshire, UConn, Maryland, ECU, etc., on the various channels that aren't the big ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU games.

Looks like the AP game is on ESPN3 though, so I'll be streaming through my Xbox 360. The quality is actually better, but the broadcast tends to be about a minute or so behind real-time.

Completely appropriate. There were still 44 seconds left in the game. NO LEAVING BEFORE THE END OF THE GAME.

completely lost my shit at a girl and her mom who were leaving North after GT scored the fourth quarter TD. that is completely unacceptable.

the wave. i HATE the wave. ill say it again, I HATE THE WAVE. did my best efforts to try to shut it down.

As far as 4th downs go, the 'block that kick' chants were also pissing me off, you YELL YOUR ASS OFF on EACH AND EVERY DOWN!!

hit Merididan Pint for lunch that day, then hit the Churchkey.

And Modus Hoperandi is killer. And 21st Amendment has got some good stuff going too.

Bet a game on Deviant is a unique experience...

Churchkey is awesome...watched the playoffs there last year would go all day and have a $20 tab. Next time hit up Meridian Pint or Pizzeria Paradisio. Don't forget about DC Brau, 3 Stars, or Port City breweries as well!

But yes....cans are awesome. Drank a 4 pack of Dale's Deviant Ale before the game on Monday.

Sad week when I'm more excited about the BOTW than the picks. Flanders Red, Oud Bruin, and lambics are delicious but definitely not for everyone, especially if you are used to drinking light lagers owned by foreign conglomerates. I will be drinking my 20 month old funked barleywine (brewed with Brett) and just transferred my Oud Bruin de Table to secondary where it will sit until the Hokies win a National Championship (or 3 years, which ever comes first). Anyways my awesome picks:

Tropical Storm
Knights
Male Cheerleaders
Tigers
Corn
Inbred dawgs

My girlfriend wants to get in the game. Here are her picks (all to cover):

The U
Ohio State
Texas A&M
LSU
Nebraska
Georgia

The only way that commercial would be better was if they played "Enter Sandman" instead of "Sandstorm." Unless they've updated the commercial since last season...

Seriously.

K. STATE. K. STATE. WOH OH OH OH OHHHHHH, DURANANAROU.
tOSU - Because O'Leary ran his mouth.
Florida - Neither team has a quarterback, but Florida has the defense.
LSU
Nebraska - T MAGIC likes popsicles.
UGA - Is Mizzou really a thing?

I'll be happy once SEC week on ESPN is over.
