I just discovered TKP this season and without getting into why the other ones suck (with the exception of tech hoops) I gotta say it's the best VT site out there. It's cleverly written and people on the boards seem knowledgeable and friendly. I look forward to reading and chatting with y'all in the future.

If I remember correctly Coach Cav was on him first then Shane "took over" the recruiting effort once he joined the staff. That's two of our best right there. Speaking of the Shane Beamer effect... Kwamaine Battle won't ask the NCAA for a 6th year of eligibility. He joins Clayton, Hamlette, Prince, and Tucker as would be senior reserves who won't be coming back to the team. That's how they do things down in the SEC.

Concur with his lack of headwork. I still don't understand what he was thinking losing that much yardage on 2nd and goal. Just take what they give you and give LT3 a shot to throw it to the end zone on 3rd. A possibility of a TD there was one of those many possible game changers during that heart-breaker...

Anyway, the thanks goes to you for putting together a great site dedicated to the Hokies. If the site sucked, it would be filled with trolls and goblins and orcs, not smart and funny people that share the love of being a Hokie. Sadly I didn't see Seattle on the cities list, I am trying to change it. One problem is I wore my DWECFAOS shirt with TheKeyPlay.com logo for the regular season Clemson game and then shelved it. Weather permitting I will wear it early next season and get Seattle on TKP's radar.
Get rid of Newsome, make Stiney total o-line coach or better yet -- only recruiting -- not sure who we should get as o-line coach then?

So I just got back from a vacation outside the country and avoided all sports news so that i wouldn't know the outcome of our game. I watched it yesterday morning for the first time...still depressed. We played such a great game but coming up short hurts. I really hate how we can't seem to win the big games. I was so stoked after Coale's OT catch and was numb after it was overturned and the missed FG, you knew it was over. So many things during the game could've meant a win. I know people say that for every game, but seriously. I have no idea why Beamer would give Coale the option to keep the ball in the first place (even so why didn't he just rugby that sucker earlier?). If you want to go for it, let your giant QB punch it through!! I told me wife i wanted to punch that ref right in the neck, she doesn't quite understand but is awesome enough to just let it go. It made me feel better reading that the ACC's director of officials stated that after reviewing that OT catch that he didn't see enough evidence to overturn that call. However, reading Heather Dinich's retarded comments after the game just spooled me up again (why do I read that stuff??).
BUT, it was a good showing and i can't wait to see how some of these recruits will fit in with the team next year.

3 INT's accounting for an avg of 55yards returned in one game? Reeedunk. You have to think he wants to be a part of family tradition, but thats only worth so much. Nonetheless, it would be great to see him become another incredible DB at Tech.
I'll admit that I don't follow recruiting closely, but it has to be a good sign for the future that we're even competing with Bama for recruits right?
This website has helped me stay more involved and more educated about Hokies Football and CFB in general than any other year. I was more enthusiastic about Hokies Football this year as well. Keep up the hard work! Gotta give thanks to TKP.
Looking forward to 2012...I will relying more on TKP for post game analysis as my family will be missing the majority of games with a new addition to the family!

to be calling for Greenberg's head. A lot of people were doing the same at the end of last season when we got snubbed again. Now, with the playcalling coming out of the Sugar Bowl, I also feel like everyone's calling for Beamer's head. I'm not necessarily saying I agree with keeping, or getting rid of either coach, but the tension is getting thicker and I'm just bracing for impact, I suppose...
