someone come at me on the six pick, goin for that threepeat
you are making tsl and their disney patrolling selfs more irrelevant with each passing day, and i love it.
thank you for being real and providing us hokies with the best website around.
dedicated to the hokies .. great info, great humor, and a great outlet
This kind of ignorance is deplorable. Unfortunately this day in age the array of social media hubs grant access to our youth in a very vulnerable way. Even though an 18 year old is deemed an adult they should not be subjected to anything close to this just because they are unsure about their future. Graduating high school is stressful enough for those going for academic/social reasons. Therefore I can only imagine the added stress of choosing a school that will allow one to flourish as an athlete.
As well, recruiting is hardly an exact science. Losing a 4* or even blue chip prospect may seem damning at first. Naturally we all want a top 10 recruiting class with stacked talent. Nonetheless, schools like Tech have done a superb job of getting those "diamonds in the rough" in the likes of Grimm and Coale as of late.
I remember losing out to Stephone Anthony to Clemson last year on NSD. The sting worsened when he made a great play in the first matchup we had in October. However, at no point did I hate the kid for making the best decision for himself. We often joke about Hokies Respect, but when it comes to obvious things like this I think it need be top of mind.
Im sorry if some of those numbers are skewed by me sitting at work being on the site all day haha. Also, appreciate the chance to use TKP as an outlet to express my love for Hokie football. The support for an Idiots Guide was overwhelming.
Thanks for the great year everyone! Go Hokies!

Keep up the awesome work guys, it's much appreciated.
Did you happen to look at his timeline while he was at Tech?
back pic for you.
I'm glad he didn't stay with VT. I don't trust anyone whose avatar is a shirtless self-pic.
No thank you for the great reads and for having such a great community to be part of.
I'm kinda with who ever said good riddance .. I'm tired of the flip floppers and this kid has struggled to make the grades just to get it .. We have been going after Deloatch hard .. Expect us to go harder.
a month ago he was gone. then the staff fought hard, lost (again) to keep him. this is not a total shock.
he was from florida last year with offers from kstate, vt and nebraska. had he had a sniff from any fla school last year, he would have committed there.
this guy is looking out for himself. it's a dirty game of over recruiting, pushing kids thru on crappy majors, 1 year scholarships, etc and yet we expect them at age 18 to be a 100%?
how do you think we are letting in all these kids this year coming up when we had 17 openings? these transfers or early graduates who are stopping football were encouraged to leave the program. all schools do this.
these kids make millions for the schools and coaches, many just get shuffled a long in the end. sure some of that responsibility is there's but most don't come equipped or from a family equipped to know it's happening to them.
we'll find another cog in the machine.
i understand that...but he's had over a year to figure it out in prep school. and what i have a problem with is him waiting one week before he's supposed to be in school, One month from signing day..to change his mind, leaving us absolutely zero time to find a replacement.
1st string his 2nd year at tech ... no huge loss. you kid yourself.
kid from florida.
friends, family still live there and want to see him and see him play.
these things happen.
does not mean he can get in school x.
their are math and science requirements that he may be lacking. i do not know, but it is not cut and dry.
is he qualified for usf, sure .. an acc school. remains to be seen.
i agree. i'm sick of all these flip flop players. whatever happened to "a man's word is his bond"?
Now that he's qualified, I imagine he's going to be the guy the staff targets. Honestly, I'd rather have a kid who has his heart in it anyways.
lol...you crack me up seth. while i do agree 100% with you on the beamerball aspect, i disagree about the offense. ocain did a pretty dang good job this year imo. the offense, for the most part, was pretty explosive, and it was a very different offensive look than last year. maybe the redzone playcalling could have been a tad better, but what alot of people seem to forget is that Logan was a first year starter...you can't just throw everything in the world at him his first year. (although he did do exceptional) i'm sure next year ocain will open up the playbook for him quite a bit. also, alot of our problems this year were because of DW's selfish running. (i know...that's taboo to say) he never showed up when we needed him in the big games. Alot of the times on the important 3rd and shorts..dw would end up running backwards...(see SB) i think with the backs we have coming up, the offense will thrive. I'm not as worried as some about the OL, as i think that the backups this year were very capable, and i really like benedict coming in next year.
that is a huge loss..he very well could have earned playing time next year.
Kid wants to play. At best, he would've been 5-6 on the depth chart. Only hurts the scout team..

great recruiter and motivator, not a good coach. Also a douchebag in real life.
