Why in the hell would Bud Foster go coach at Pitt with it quitting the little east and whatnot? Their future's too unpredictable.
I mentioned this on twitter but one of my biggest fears other than the obvious is losing Bud may mean we lose some very good young coaches and recruiters. Torrian Gray is a big coach for us and my fear is Bud can lure him away to become his defensive coordinator. My guess is Frank tabs someone like Wiles or brings Cav back to the field to be the DC. If that is the case, who would blame Torrian for going? Maybe I overvalue Torrian but I think he is an underrated coach on this staff.
It makes more sense now than before since he knows the acc as well as any coach, that being said do the boosters at Pitt want a big name hire like they always call for and end up with another failed coaching experiment or do they go for a reliable coach that has been there done that
I don't think that factors in as much as us fans would hope. Many have thought Clemson has long been on his radar.

I don't think they had them at the beginning of the year, so hopefully with 5 weeks they can order up some pants. I think everyone wants to see all-maroon, including myself.
I'be learned a bunch of stuff about Michigan football that would otherwise taken me sometime to figure out from watching film.

VT has a matchup problem in the middle, so I don't expect to see a lot of that this game.

Some teeth gnashing over on the Michigan boards about these. I like them. They are much better than the ones we fielded for the game vs sparty. Anyway, you all get to see them for the first time and we'll probably only wear these for the bowl.

As a current student paying for my own tuition, I would love to be there, but I'm as broke as Joe Theismann's leg under Lawrence Taylor.
In June, when at Tacos & Tequila at the Luxor I ordered a rum and coke and asked if I could get it to go and got, "You're in the city of to-go" in response. It's why you see all the drunkards running around with the neon green yard slushy drinks from Fat Tuesday's..mmm.
I would LOVE to go to a BCS bowl in Vegas! I'm a tad obsessed with it..and yes..it IS better than Miami..haven't been to the other two places, so I can't say.
I bought into the enthusiasm of everyone wanting to go to the SB. At this point im far from disappointed by any means, but any further defense would be moot. I have however looked at some of the switching around that our bid has caused. Along with the heaps of cash that two BCS bowls bring in our ACC brethern have also been privileged by their placement in subsequent bowls. NCSU has already sold their allotment as they will be in Charlotte (2 hour drive), FSU plays in Orlando (2-3) hour drive, and a smaller school like Wake will be in Nashville versus godawful El Paso. It still sucks for GT and UNC to be in El Paso and Shreveport respectively but I think some of the shifting has helped nonetheless. Youre welcome UVA haha.

I know you could take your drink outside the bar while still in the casino/hotel, but I don't remember being able to take it onto the streets. Maybe I'm wrong about that... I've never been to SOBE, so maybe it's similar.
Either way, both NOLA and Vegas are awesome cities to visit... Why doesn't Vegas have a BCS Bowl? Vegas is way better than Miami, Phoenix and Pasadena...
I am so tired of this song and dance with Foster. He won't succeed as a head coach because he doesn't work hard at recruiting. He is a damn good and well paid defensive coordinator, well entrenched in the community. If he wants to take less money to go to Pitt and be mediocre, don't let the door hit him in the ass on the way out. Otherwise, name him coach-in-waiting with a date certain on Beamer, name Shane associate head coach to handle recruiting, and let's move on from this stupidity. All these Foster machinations do is derail the final recruiting stretch.
