That's what we're playing for...a hyped-up FSU match in Dec.

I already suggested a hypometer if they knock off OK, I am not sure I can take it though.

dominated with like 8 yards of offense...we're too dang efficient. Eff Clemson!

That was like the opposite of the BC game...pretty frustrating the whole time, but man the last few seconds...

once we are up three touch downs our fans with be doing the same thing back.

Frankinator, "Now, I want all of y'all to turn 'round, and take a look at 'em tree trunks hanging from James Gayle."

Have to go with the Nebraska game at Lane stadium. One of the greatest games ever, anywhere.

"You have now been baptised into the Church of Beamerball. In the name of the Foster, and of the Shane, and of the Holy Special Teams. Now rise, brother Logan."

Frank is telling the story of the first time he met Mike London after the loss last year. He is describing how he slapped him across the face

To remind them of what a sorry performance they had. And then they should celebrate the last practice by destroying those helmets forever. For-evvv-errrrrrr

Beams: "So, when we play FSU in the ACC Championship game agian, their fans will do this annoying chant that goes like this..."

I have to live and work with these cocky jerks and every year rubbing it in their faces that they have another year until they can get another shoy at us is the greatest. The amazing thing is every year they find a new twist and have a reason to look forward to playing us. Considering we've owned them for years its truly unbelievable. They have a cockiness about them though that is beyond me for having such a terrible team. Please Hokies embarass them so bad that the school decides to discontinue their football activites until further notice!

Coach is telling James Gayle that "if there weren't so many players between me and you I'd come back there and smack you so hard your mom would feel it for looking at me like that."

The NCAA has been investigating for 5 months now so certainly Miami and Golden has known somehing was up before the story broke this week. If he wanted to make a statement, he should have enough information to do so by now. Much like UNC last year, I expect pressure, specifically from the media, will eventually be heavy enough that Golden has to announce the players will sit. This won't be his decision but will come from the AD or higher. It does nothing but hurt him if he holds out players that have a chance, albeit small in my opinion, from practicing/playing with his team. And the chance he gets in trouble for not holding them out is minimal as it was not under him that the violations occured.

I now think Golden will stay. He will be in a no-lose situation. If the team struggles over the next few years, he will be viewed as a solid coach who stood by a troubled program and was a great coach who was handcuffed. If he wins, he will only gain more prestige which will help sway recruits or land him another great gig. At this point, he may only look bad by running away from the problems.

Beamer asks the other players to gather around as he knights the kneeling Logan Thomas in front of him. Hype-o-meter is raised.

"So...be honest, has anyone present ever been on a yacht with a short wannabe rich guy? If you see anyone matching that description hanging around campus, I want you to slap him around the face area like this.."

If he wants to show fans and recruits that he is serious about moving the program forward in a more credible, legal manner he will take quick action. I just think they are still working out a plan for addressing the allegations against the current players. Or like you said, he is figuring out how to get out of his contract while still getting some $$$.

The O-line should've taken down that guy's jersey number and planted his A$$ on the next snap.

agreed 100%. Would love to see the game mean more than a trip to the Orange Bowl as well...not counting on it though.

Agree with ECU/BC- '07 BC games was the only sporting event I went to and my anger while walking back to my apartment was beyond words. If only Morgan fell on the Onside Kick and Foster kept putting heat on Ryan in the two minute offense in a monsoon instead of dropping into a loose zone...oh well that was another NCG chance washed away (literally).

ECU was just simply shocking. I figured they would give us a game but to beat us with their special teams and turnovers? That was another long walk home from a bar.

1) Miami/UVA, 2) GT, 3) UNC, 4) Clemson, 5) BC, 6) Duke, 7) Wake, 8) OOC games in any order.

Miami and UVA always top the list with GT and UNC following closely behind. We need to keep giving London and UVA black eyes so people know they've been told by the real Virgina program how the Coastal goes. Miami, in my opinion, has become our biggest rival and this scandal may have an interesting affect on the continuously developing rivalry. Ever since I started hating them when I came to VT in '04 that was the ACC game that was circled on the mental calendar even more so than UVA. GT has also nicely developed and I am still pissed about UNC upsetting us in '09. Kick them and UM while they're down and repeatedly (only on field though- gotta make sure they start working their way back).

Clemson follows closely as well. Though I went to HS in Richmond I know tons of kids from my school and others who went to Clemson- didn't like most of them and love to see them over holidays and at the store when back in VA with my VT gear on-hoping for another ass kicking for the ages.

BC, for me, is tied with Clemson. Gotta give props though cause I'm getting my MA at a Catholic school with deep ties to BC. Still ever since the Monsoon in '07 and having my heart ripped out of my chest in the North End Zone I want us to take it to them and whoever is back at QB- can still see Ryan hitting Callendar, falling back, for the TD.

Duke and WF: will be tough games- mark my words.

If the OOC games don't involve an SEC/Big XII/Big East/Big Ten/Pac 12 team then I will go but will HOPEFULLY go for the enjoyment of an easy victory.

As to the list Beamer is without question the best coach in the ACC at the moment and since the league expanded in 2004- all other schools have changed coaches minus Wake and some even twice. I also agree that JF is not the second best coach in the league- that has to be a product of the media's love for FSU and the Atlantic Division title last year. I did also love the point made about CPJ- he "won" an ACC title with Gailey's players and this year will be key. In fact, in my opinion, he should've been second on the list with an asterisk denoting a "dependent on this year's results". If GT has a crappy season with HIS recruits specifically chosen for their ability to run his option-based offense then that ole' seat may start getting a tad too warm for comfort. How sweet would it be if CPJ was fired and Groh took over GT? He would set them back ten years just as he did to UVA and with Miami's issues? Man I am starting to get excited for the season.
