to the new members, glad to have you and look forward to getting to know you. I look forward to Miami and UNC this year, because I will most likely be at both. I also look forward to going back to Bank of America Stadium and getting another win, awesome time last year. So glad that it is in Charlotte even though it is a further drive for me. Joe, Sept 3rd live chat I am hoping for...?

don't forget the flappy heads

Who: The current VT students
Plausability: 7/10
Rationale: Everybody who has been back to a game after graduation has said at one time or another, "The student section was so much louder when I was in school..." If you're a current student, its "these new freshmen suck..."
Verdict: Get out to the tailgate early, enjoy bourbon, beer, and bacon for breakfast, and it won't be an issue.

who: Not really a who but an it. The Orange Helmets.
Plausability: 9/10
Rationale: Whenever were not sold on our uniform we underperform. Orange helmets in the Orange bowl was like putting red in front of a bull. One named Luck.
Verdict: If these supposed orange pants show up against Ark St we may be fukt.

Who: Craig James
Plausibility: 8/10
Rational: He alegedly killed 5 hookers at SMU, He got the Pirate fired, and just listen to his announcing.
Verdict: #FireCraigJames

I don't think the Stone Masons can be blamed for Hokie woes. I look to the North.

Is Bryan Stinespring Canadian? If so, it all makes sense now.

Who: Canada
Plausibility: 10/10
Rational: Beady eyes and hockey hullabaloo
Verdict: We must blame them and make a fuss before somebody thinks of blaming us!

Who: Jeron Gouveia-Winslow
Plausibility: 5/10
Rational: Inconsistent play and missed assignments have made him an easy scapegoat.
Verdict: #dangitGW

but it could be better...

dually noted.

I just went to ESPN3 to check out that play and that was impressive. If he can get 3-4 yards every time that should just be our first down play. I think we'd take 2nd and 6 every time.

I hate to look ahead, but I will.... I am looking forward to beating Florida State in the ACC Championship in back-to-back years with their #5 preseason ranking and their "#1" recruiting class for '11.

also: found the clip. it was in the wake forest game. if you check it out on espn 3, it happens around 3:03:30. i'll rip it in the morning. i'm too tired right now

hahahaha....sweet. Gotta wonder if the staff knew some things we do not? Oh well sweet inclusion.

Couple of games- of course Appalachian State cause its the home opener, Miami cause they've evolved into really our biggest rival, UNC cause its on the good ole' birfday and its the traditional Thursday night game- time for revenge!

i'd like to see plays in any yardage situations where LT3 has the option to pitch it to david. because as soon as he tosses it out to him, he can act like a tight end (as i recall he was a pretty good one in high school) and throw a mad block. and we all know that on any given play david is just one block away from the end zone.

...Because the season is getting closer but isnt here yet....

As for the game I'm most excited about? That would have to be UNC on a thursday night. We need to prove to them that they arent going to be able to beat us in Lane on thursdays anymore. Clemson also is looking like a better game to watch as we get closer as well. And Boy I would love to have another torrential downpour against Miami

That's just awesomne.

without at least giving them the heads up known.

Homey Don't Play Dat!

May the cruse live on.

VT pulled the scholie offer.

It pisses me off when they beat us on a recruiting prospect (like Stephone Anthony last year) when they can't do anything on the field. I'd like to get some revenge. I remember the game in 2007, where we completely dominated and I can't wait to do it again.

I'd like to see some option and QB sneaks from under center on short yardage downs. You'd have to believe with LT3's size he'd be able to muscle through any crack in the line and be able to stretch out for the necessary yardage.

i think I remember that particular 3rd and 1. LT got the ball and immediately leapt the line. I think he pretty much jumped 4 yards or something haha

The guys in the secondary have the potential, but there's no on the field experience to back it up. I don't think you can judge any player, good / or bad until you see what they can do on the field. Fuller was a stud last season, and one of the few kids who actually made open field tackles in the first few games. I never would have believed that until it happened.

At 6'3" 208 I have high hopes for Ronny Vandyke backing up Eddie Whitley.

We'll know a lot more after today's scrimmage.
