Some of the players are making as much or more than the coaches?

Yep...and that 2022 team largely underachieved and probably doesn't make the Tourney without winning the ACC Tourney.

Otherwise its 1/7....

HELL YES! One of the few young bright spots from last year.

I agree with you and believe Hammond needs the ball in crunch time to initiate, but for the majority of the year they've both been in together at the end of games. Hammond almost always finishes. I actually prefer Neo working off the ball and exploiting mismatches while Hammond gets the offense going.

If Neo off the floor in spots helps us secure the W, then go for it. The real question is what CMY said to Neo after he jacked up that contested 3 with 20 some seconds left on the shot clock, and if Neo understood, digested, and will start making the right damn plays when it's most important.

So I think it is pretty clear that Neo has a lot of maturing to do and isn't ready for prime time end of game situations. He is way too turnover prone. Hammonds however is what you want to see from your PG in clutch spots. The question I want to ask here is whether or not CMY has the sack to start (and finish) with Hammonds at PG and let Neo come off the bench as a sixth man until he matures. Make a statement to this team that nobody is untouchable.

Its the Mr Incredible meme. The first 37 minutes from Neo. Is happy Mr Incredible. And the final three minutes. Is the traumatized Mr Incredible.

Yeah I thought he actually played a really nice game, played within himself, only a few dumb shots, made the right reads, etc.

And then the final 3 minutes happened

I can't believe we lost that fucking game. I literally can't believe we lost that fucking game.

Came in with a 30% chance to make the NCAA Tournament per T-Rank... with that loss it's down to 12%.

Brutal. Potentially season-changing loss.

Just finished. What a complete and utter fucking bullshit loss. We blew two 12 point leads. We let up both times and shit the bed. We missed too many FT's. That alone, even with the two 12 point leads blown would have won the game.

The announcers were stunned. Well join the fucking club. No excuse for not pulling away. We are infamous for building up a lead and then stop playing.

A totally inexcusable loss. I mean WT Actual Fuck.

Hopefully he gets drafted and helps our recruiting. But I am sick of watching him play. We're a better team when he's not on the floor.

Yep this. No shot should have come with more than 6 seconds on shot clock outside a gimme layup. They have to get the ball in Hammonds hands when its free throw times and too often they left it with Neo. Utterly embarrassing reading play by play on ESPN

98% Win Probability with just more than 2 minutes left.

That's some Justin Fuente shit. You have to try to lose a game like that.

Last year he got a pass-- nobody could have won with that roster, but if this team continues underwhelm, I agree it's time to start looking for other options.

The long stretches of offensive ineptitude have been a consistent theme for years now

I was sitting 2 rows back and you could see him turn it on and try way too hard in the last 3 minutes. This loss is solely on him. If he's on the bench for that stretch, we win easy.

Exactly. You have to make the wrong decision repeatedly for three straight minutes to lose in this situation. Kudos to Stanford for going nuclear down the stretch, but with good coaching from CMY, they never get that opportunity.

Unfortunately that's a product of Europe. Conditioned to sag off rather than be physical because most times in Europe if you have a hand or forearm on someone its a foul. He isn't great either way but hard to break that habit quickly
