Re: 3 - the way they wrote 8's dialogue in the church when she was telling eleven what's happened to her was truly awful. Actually almost all of 8's dialogue has been awful.

I also heard on a podcast that there is apparently an unwritten rule at Netflix that shows have to tell and don't show because of how frequently Netflix shows are second screen shows for people. So if you try to show and don't tell it could be missed by someone scrolling on their phone. It's like in season 4 when the lights would flicker in the creel house and someone would always say something along the lines of "Vecna is here." This season has been that to the max, almost every scene has someone overtly stating what the viewer is supposed to take away from it. I don't think shows should cater to the people barely paying attention because if they miss something that's on them.

I think this a valid concern.

But, my gut is saying Franklin is pissed at the world and wants to win.
My sneaky feeling is that he will drastically change/improve the roster with the portal and then get back to a mix of high school recruitment/development while looking at the portal as opportunity....

We're gonna find out in about a week.

If we are winning as much as Penn State has been and being a game away from championships while being ranked low in the portal doesn't thst count as a good thing? I take it as meaning we have recruited, developed and kept players at a high rate and have needed less NIL for portal moves which I am sure are costly.

I'm all for that. Now maybe he could have been more savvy to pick off a few game changing portal players but still. seems like a win to me. what am I missing?

Been some good games,... that aren't going my way. Oh well.

What kind of initiation did he have to go through? Smuggle drugs from Mexico? Sell Fentenyl to kids? I mean he just doesn't fit the mold of a Michigan Man so I assume he had to do something to join the club.

Good luck, but it was inevitable

If he couldn't beat out Drones last year, he wasn't beating out whoever Franklin has this year.

Right. But when I buy tickets, that's part of my entertainment expense. If I buy merchandise, I get stuff to wear.

When I donate, the team might get a little better? I understand it's a necessity if I actually want them to be better, but even if it works, it's just kind of a weird mental thing.

My kids don't have college paid for yet, (weve got a long way to go before they're old enough), and yet I'm going to pay some guy I've never met, who may transfer to UVA, WVU, or Miami next semester anyway, so that he'll play football at the school where he's already got a scholarship.

Don't get me wrong - it's an entertainment expense for something I love dearly, and I donate what I can stomach, but it's difficult to stomach the donations for me.

Wife and daughter heading down new years day for a week of universal/ Disney.

it should honestly be on a plaque or an empty wall or a video board somewhere in Lane

Well other than the recruits he brought in, he has zero loyalty to anyone else in the roster. And those recruits are probably a year or more away from really contributing, so I expect he'll portal heavy this year and probably next. And it if works, he probably is smart enough to continue.
