When I last went there almost a decade and half ago, the sorority/frat houses had bars over their windows. It was so bizarre to me.

Alonza Barnett, QB at JMU officially in portal. Will he be following Chesney or is he going elsewhere with Nico Iamleavin staying at UCLA.

I'm reserving judgement until we get the finale. I feel like these 3 episodes especially are victims of the release schedule where they're trying to put the pieces in place for the finale. I think people were expecting another cliffhanger leading into the finale and are upset they didn't get that vs. if we had gotten all 4 episodes at the same time and you could go from episode 7 straight into the finale.

I am worried about how much they need to tie up even with a 2+ hour finale. I think I saw something that the last 40 min of the finale is the epilogue so that leaves only 80ish minutes to wrap everything up which doesn't seem like a lot of time.

Can we officially say that this has gone too far?

I mean, there have been about 15 prior "checkpoints" where we could (IMHO should) have stopped and thought about the long-term consequences of an open market for players with eligibility criteria that are just theoretical at this point.

Seriously, what is really the point of watching college basketball before January at this point?

It's essentially a preseason now where teams get to figure out where their deficits are and then load up on Mid-season acquisitions to make a March Madness run.

Go look at their opt out list .... its got 4 starting offensive linemen and the starting RB as well as a couple other starters on defense. Hopefully Clemson pummels them

Especially after seeing these for sale....

you're probably right. I was assuming that if you have high retention on the team then NIL is likely leveraged already so getting portal transfers would be costly either in raising new money or clearing for existing pool.

Owen McCown is smallish but could make some decent NIL $ next year and should eventually get a look in the NFL

I wish I could be positive about these last three episodes but man was that an overall disappointment. There were moments that I enjoyed, however, the excessive dialogue moments were awful and unnecessary.

My son said he felt like a little kid was telling a story...all over the place and full of babble. My wife called them "fluff" and "fillers".

I was underwhelmed. My favorite part was when Dustin coined the other universe "A, for the Abyss", when they referenced D&D, Hopper's "Jesus Christ" had me rolling. I rewatched that little scene a few times. That was a home run. Love anything Murray too.

For me, entertainment and pay-it-forward categories are in different categories than the "educate my kids" expense. Also, if you want your kids to go to VT, you may want VT to be a better school. I think recognition for athletics has made VT a better school overall, and has improved the life of VT students.

You're right, one of those is far more important, but it doesn't necessarily rule out the need or desire for the other if one has the means.

Lotta negativity, damn. Last 3 episodes weren't as good as the first 4, but I thoroughly enjoyed them. Emotional, dramatic, stressful, enlightening. It's not season 1 or season 4, but I am loving this season and can't wait for the finale.

I'm solidly middle at 12th right now...

While I agree with most of what you're saying, I'm not sure we save NIL money. Those players we keep at a high rate aren't staying for free. So the NIL might be a wash, but the benefit is in the continuity.
