Yeah, there's not a perfect option for recruit and transfer ratings. I used on3 ratings last year, because they were quicker about getting the ratings up and seem to do a better job with transfer ratings, but switched to the composite ratings for the commits since they take all the services into account and because on3 is harder to use since the rivals merge and paywall. I might add on3 transfer ratings as a column later on.
Man that felt like a gut punch just to read it, I can't imagine what you are going through. I hope things work out as best they can for you two. We will all be here if you need us.

Loved the idea of a second NIT style playoff with 8-16 teams and just getting rid of the bowl games. The only problem with 16 teams is asking players to play 4 more games. That is too much. 8 teams, best of the rest, bowls for the top teams only, no more 6-6 pillow fights on a Wed afternoon with mostly backups thanks to opt outs. NIL prize money awarded as teams progress in the tourney, that will hopefully limit the opt outs to high round picks only.
I agree with that point but would also argue that it's possible that a previous 4 star could also have flamed out in college if the rating was based on tools that never got refined.
French, this is sad to hear. I hope you get through this with as little pain as possible.
I am biased because I am a lawyer (I don't divorces - used to, but no more. I've seen them go a lot of sideways places.) Please, please, please hire an experienced divorce attorney to guide you through this.
They don't have to FIGHT or whatever. In fact, I hope they'll help to minimize conflict in the divorce.
If you need recommendations, I'd suggest deliberately calling law firms in your area that DO NOT do divorce, and then asking them if they have suggestions. When you get the same name a few times from a few different places, that's when you know you've got a good one.
It's a very solid deal considering VT could have been paying this AND a DC salary for the next two years. Saved around $2.5M for the rebuilding efforts.
So it looks like he is basically just getting his buyout and then if he is here in 2028, he would get paid $2M to be the DC. That is some real $ for a DC, but knowing how things escalate in college football, that will likely be just inside top 25 or something crazy.
Sorry to hear that.
I've (fortunately) got no advice, but we are all just going through life, and all we can do is our best. Best of luck as you get through this, and thanks for participating in this community and making us all a little bit smarter.
Looks like we are essentially getting a good deal on a DC with the reduced buyout and reasonable salary after the buyout cash is spent
$0.2M 2025
$3.0M 2026
$3.3M 2027
$1.6M 2028
$0.4M 2029
$8.5M for 3 years as a DC + buyout.
Another thing to note when it comes to recruits-in vs transfers-out from a talent gained vs talent lost standpoint. A guy who was rated 4 stars in high school but has been in college for 1-3 years has had at least some amount of college level strength and conditioning, so it's not 100% apples to apples.
E.G; Troy Huhn and Garret Rangel were/are both 4 star high school players (247 composite). But Garret is a college junior. If you were building a roster for a game tomorrow and those were your 2 qb options, Garret is likely to be more college game ready.
Of course this also works in the reverse if/when we get a player from the portal but lose a commit/incoming freshman
Gotta love the off-seaon
I didn't know Hawkins could return! I thought he was a 1 year guy. That's great news.
Absolutely repugnant how common this sentiment is
Saw odu won their game and got a 10th win
You can do that?
Hoovering some schneef, some might say
Terion Stewart isn't on this chart, but he won't chase an extra year/legal extension. He's entering the Draft per his Twitter.
5 of them are walk-ons/practice squad

A little devil's dandruff....a little stripper salt....some Chuck Sheen nose cardio.
You are indeed correct. The border between Maryland and Pennsylvania is the Mason-Dixon Line
Only one opt out. CB Caleb Offord
Huh I guess that really wasn't his agent, huh
