On the bright side, that does mean it should be possible for us to replace our entire defense.
We've had a guy here and there since, but true VT Nasty OL play left with Grove.
Which makes the fact they are already tracking over 500 names just crazy and indicative of how screwed up the game is these days. Seen estimates they expect as high as 3500 in the portal this year.

Shooting %s are good and Hawks hitting some circus shots.
Biggest concern is we still can't get the ball inside to Dorn/Gurdak/Hansberry with any consistency.
Dorn wearing a back brace on bench and Neo limping off pretty concerning with Tobi already out.
Good to see Pasha getting some run with Bedford out sick.

I did see something on Twitter (can't find the tweet anymore) suggesting that Franklin is bringing his guys with him for now because he thinks speed is more important right now then perfection.
Nothing unnecessarily agree with that thing, but it's certainly an interesting thought
I don't wanna say that Wiggins didn't have anything to do with his development, but from everything I've heard Devonta Smith is that guy who is both extremely genetically talented, but also an absolute gym rat/first guy in last guy out/name-your-stereotype that is typically applied to an undersized walk on.
All I'm saying is that I think it was significantly easier to elevate Devante Smith to Heisman winner then it was to elevate Willie-paperboy-byrn to a mediocre ACC receiver.

No. Portal doesn't officially open until January so these are a lot of early entries that are really premature. The flood hasn't happened yet and I would think some players need to finish finals.
Any word on the VT transferring out / targets in yet? Not seeing a thread for those
It'll be interesting to see how many of Franklin's players will transfer to Tech, especially on D since there may be a few that may have played for Pry before he left, but most would have played for a different DC and likely different position coaches. Let's see how big the Franklin draw is...
