Another game of Hokies basketball they should be able to dominate the paint but just shooting jumpers

y'all.

We've had a guy here and there since

I accounted for all these people that keep getting mentioned

Second ever 1st Round Draft Pick at OL for Hokies and 5X Pro Bowler Duane Brown would like a word as well.

Yeah, I was thinking they'd have to be redshirt seniors or someone who also had a medical year. I was originally guessing one or two, but maybe a few more. Feeling too lazy to go do the research, even though I imagine it would just be going to the roster and looking for redshirt seniors on D.

Edit: man, my brain isn't working. Yeah, even if they are playing this year, they'd likely not be eligible, like you said, unless they did have a medical year in there

The OL takes some time to gel, so it's like an organism you have to consistently feed and nurture.

Ha! I initially read this as "orgasm" and thought this is something you need to feed and nurture too! So I thought it was a good analogy.

Much better second half, especially defensively. Still left alot to work on even winning by 29 but beat the spread by half point at least.

Dorn will be on injury watch after not coming back after that physical exchange under the rim early in the 1st half.

Neo seemed fine so hopefully his was just a tweak.

Good minutes for Gurdak and Pasha. Gurdak flirted with the double-double with 13/8. Hansberry came up a rebound short on his double-double too.

Five Hokies finish in double-digits with Hansberry, Neo, Johnson, Hammond and Gurdak. Schutt started and its first time in 6 games he didnt get to double figures.

46% from 3. If they can keep that up that will be a major positive.

UMES finished 4/27 from 3 which accounted for much of the second half change in outcome. They were 1/16 in the 2nd half.

One major negative was being outrebounded by the Hawks 36-32. Much of that was Young playing Fire and Forget basketball with only 5 offensive rebounds.

Not sure any are still eligible from Pry's days there. It's been 4 years. May be some guys who got recruited by him but never played for him.

Franklins teams are always run heavy anyways. The combination of the way he recruits RBs, the way he recruits OL, the way Moore recruits OL, and the way Moore develops OL should be a recipe for success even if the passing game doesn't flourish. Add, fingers crossed, Brooks and the way he recruits and the production his room has.

I think this is the plan. At least in the early going. Good run blocking OL, that will no doubt evolve and get better, along with a really solid sable of RBs. This seems like a legitimate way to rebuild the OL.

Drones may also not throw a very catchable ball.

This is such an underrated and underappreciated comment. Even when Drones got close the ball he throws isn't terribly catchable. He does not make it easy on his WRs. Conversely, if you're playing D1 football catching an "uncatchable ball" is something you need to do if its close.

Also, most of our best offensive linemen, if I'm not mistaken, have been defensive line converts. Maybe because they were too big for the fast twitch Wiles wanted?
