I don't know why I made this. I needed an outlet for the feelings I have around the program right now, as I, like many of you, feel that Virginia Tech Football is in the midst of a dark night of the soul right now.
This is a collection of footage from over the years, telling the tale of Hokie football from the time I was old enough to love it, up until today.

Less than a month back Whit sat in a conference room with the Board of Visitors and delivered one message: If Virginia Tech does not radically leap forward now, our fate is likely sealed for generations to come. If what we needed then was a giant leap forward, what we have seen in the weeks that followed was that our standing in reality was actually much worse than we thought at that time.
The SZD guys (Alex and Richard) touched on VT's situation in their Hurry Up recap show on Sunday and elaborated a bit on it in an Overtime segment released for subscribers earlier this morning. The main takeaways will not surprise anyone: Virginia Tech is viewed as being old fashioned, antiquated and not positioned to seriously compete in the ACC and they also discuss the reporting on the BOV presentation from Doug Bowman and Matt Brown. This is an existential question for VT.

Sometimes, in the brief periods before death, a love one might show an unexpected moment of their former body and spirit before passing. For one quarter, Virginia Tech showed the promise and the hype we have all been waiting on for nearly a decade. What followed was a three quarter descent into football hell, worse than almost anything seen during the purgatory that began when we were excited to see a bowl streak continue by inching out six win seasons.
Fuck these two bums.
That's pretty much all I have to say after this one. -20 yards in the second half? Game turns on its head when we cowardly punt on 4th and 3 inches after Vandy drove the field at ease on us?
