I was just thinking about this earlier and I can't recall seeing or hearing about the Lunchpail at all this season. Perhaps fittingly as they have performed no where near their preseason potential and hype. Has anyone seen or heard who has it this year??
When we're down about the season, uncertain about the program, etc. it's moments like these that remind me why I love and support this program. Seeing the coaches' kids interacting with the players, having fun, and seeing our Hokies enjoying themselves playing with the kids just makes me happy. I hope it does the same for you. Enjoy the video and let's beat BC.
This week is starting out heavy with six games on Thursday night. WVU is getting
Beat easily by TCU, I think this season combined with last three could see WVU add themselves to the coaching search. UNC and Pitt playing for top spot in the Coastal and Oregon trying to turn things around.
It seems like every game I watch, the team that benefits from the officiating is always the team that will boost the conference whose officials are working that game. This is something that I think about all the time but I am interested in other people's opinion. I just watched a terrible PI call in the WVU TCU game that led to a TCU touchdown. I'll surely be eating crow if WVU wins this game but I'm willing to take the risk.
Our scoring offense (56) is ranked higher than our scoring defense (62).
There's still plenty of games left to affect the final rankings, but the last time scoring O outranked scoring D at the end of the season was 2010. (Scoring O 21, scoring D 26.)
We have received signed grant-in-aids from Jackson, Denmark, and Taylor. Glad to officially welcome these guys to Virginia Tech! #Sandman16โ BeamerBall (@Beamer_Ball) October 29, 2015
(Outside of the Blacksburg market shifting over to 21/27 for a game or two, and Richmond getting it on the CW station while MLB played on Fox, there hasn't been any week to week changes.)

With the way VT has been playing and the way BC has been playing, I assumed it would be the standard "Home Team -3". I think both teams are pretty even (on a neutral field), maybe giving the slight edge to BC. But since Tech is favored by 2.5 points in Chestnut Hill, I guess the oddsmakers are willing to say we're a better team by some margin.
I was pretty surprised, are you?
EDIT: I did know BC's #1 QB went down for the season, but I didn't realize that their #2 QB got a concussion vs Louisville and is questionable for the VT game. That might have some effect.
I think we can all agree that it's nearing the sunset of Frank Beamer's tenure and it's entertaining to speculate about who could be the next head coach. I'm in the belief that getting a young up and coming coach could breathe life into the program and I believe that Matt Rhule is a guy that would be a great candidate.

Guys, I don't think the wheels are going back on the BMW. It sucks, 3 decades is a long time, remember the whole! So that means I am now down to hate watching, new coach scouting, hate watching, jealous of well coached teams watching, hate watching, still laughing at uva, and some more hate watching.
No marquee games this week, but there are some solid ones and if last week proved, the meh weeks often provide the crazy endings. Plus it's Halloween weekend, so college coeds in skimpy outfits, and teams wearing their gaudiest uniform combos, because 20 year olds like tacky.
I think Miami is just an absolutely terrible job. I think this program is bankrupt. I think it has a delusional fanbase thinking that this is the '80s and '90s and possibly even the early part of the new millennium. I don't get it. I don't know why any coach in their right mind would want this job.

There seems to have been lots of comments on VT Not being a big enough school for going all in. But lets review the Public records http://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/finances/
Every year VT Athletics has made a nice little bit off the top to put us in a fine position. Thanks to a Conservative monetary policy in spending and fundraising Tech has amassed 50+ million in profits over the last 10 years. Not all schools operated this well, many schools don't, off hand UVA hasn't been
What is Conservative monetary policy? Just like Conservative playcalling it hasn't kept up with those around us.

A few questions are on my mind as we look back on the last few years.
1) Did CFB deserve the chance to re-build his staff at the end of 2012?
100% yes. Look at his record as of the end of 2012. 10+ wins in 8 of 9 years, multiple BCS bowls
2) Do we have more talent and depth on offense than 2012?
Yes as it relates to top-end talent for skill players, and we are in similar (not great) shape as it relates to depth. Recruiting of skill positions has picked up while the re-build of the offensive line was hampered by turnover.
