The ACC has announcedschedules for women's basketball.
The Hokies will open conference play hosting Duke on.....Sunday, December 7, 1941 2025.
The home slate also includes Miami, BC, Clemson, Pittsburgh, UVA, NC State, UNC, and GT
The away slate includes Florida State, Louisville, Syracuse, SMU, Wake Forest, Notre Dame, Stanford, Cal, before closing the the season at UVA.
Still a little light on details but the Hokies added an international player today. Spela Brecelj is from Slovenia and has played in their National program the last 6 years.
She is a 6'2 Guard/Forward per Hokiesports

8 x 4-star players isn't bad.
What is bad is how little information there is on women's basketball recruiting. I needed five different sources just to get something. Every database seems to have been scrubbed. The VT page regarding class signings includes references to HoopGurlz, yet ESPN only has 2 signees listed over the last three classes. 247 is effectively gone. Rivals is gone, replaced by On3, which still hasn't gotten it's shit together.

Plans to visit VT. Comments by his father makes me wonder whether we have a real chance.
Bit tougher than I expected but big matchups are South Carolina, Duquesne and Providence. Would consider all the others must win. Providence and South Carolina are on the road so will be tougher tests.
Battle 4 Atlantis teams are Colorado State, Saint Mary's, South Florida, Vanderbilt, VCU, Virginia Tech, Western Kentucky, and Wichita State. Schedule for that isn't set yet. Wichita State, Saint Mary's and USF will be the toughest teams. Don't know what to expect with VCU now that Ryan Odom has moved up the road to UVA.
Was originally expected to be 2 years so this is a positive development. Made this a new post to not freak everyone out with a post on his commitment post.
Not sure he will stay that long as his ultimate goal was better visibility for NBA scouts to make that jump.
Hokies announced Elon will come to Cassell in November and George Mason will come to Cassell in December as part of the non-conference slate.
They waited long enough that Darius Maddox will not be present for George Mason. Maddox was a key part in Mason finishing 2nd in the A-10 at 27-9 overall last year.

An Exhibit 10 contract is a one year league minimum salary with possibility of earning either a two way contract or spend season with the G League affiliate. The Trailblazers can also waive him at no additional cost. If he spends at least 60 days with the G League affiliate he earns a $75K bonus.
Guensch, a Leesburg native brings 20 years of assistant coaching experience to the Hokies bench. Guensch comes to the Hokies from Missouri State where he had a three-year stint where the Bears went 69-31. Prior to that, he was at Richmond for three years, a year at Bucknell, three years at ECU, two years at College of Charleston, two years at UNCG, and four years at VCU.
He is a proven recruiter.
No big time program experience, though it seems like he did some nice things at a lower tier school.

JRob was recently named to the Lega Serie A Dream Team and is one of three finalists for League MVP.
In 31 games with Trapani, he has averaged 14.4ppg, and 6.1 apg while shooting 50% from the floor, 41% from 3 and 84% from the line. Trapani is 23-8 ad Robinson led them in almost all offensive categories in two playoff games this week.
