Keep up-to-date with Tech commits and targets.
Ellison's top three are Virginia Tech, Penn State and Maryland. His commitment announcement somewhat came out of the blue.
Edit: And he committed to PSU.

Koma spoke with 2016 DeMatha Catholic wide receiver Tino Ellis Tuesday night. It's a Virginia Tech-Maryland race to the finish, and he's keeping whether it's the Hokies or Terps close to the vest.

The love affair began back when Eric Kumah was a freshman. Though he wasn't yet the playmaking receiver known for winning jump balls and outrunning defenders, a Virginia Tech-affiliated Web site noted Kumah's potential by listing him as a player to watch in the 2016 class.
Ever since then, Kumah has had his eye on the Hokies, spurring a recruiting process that culminated Friday with the Forest Park rising senior committing to Virginia Tech during a ceremony.

To all student athletes, recruits, and graduate transfers looking for a State Of the Art in-door practice facility to perfect their craft year around, the Virginia Tech Hokies is the place to be. When it is completed in early July, the Hokies will be able to offer student athletes something they cannot get anywhere else: a gigantic luxurious in-door practice facility.

Haskins is a talented prospect, and he's embraced being the next face of Maryland's program. Keep an eye out to see if he gains any traction with convincing other top DMV recruits in this cycle and beyond to join him at Maryland.

I haven't analyzed all the numbers, and there are a lot of 2015 recruits poised to step on campus this summer. But the 2016 recruiting cycle is in full swing. Just at a quick glance it appears WR, DE, and OT seem to be the positions of need. Who are Tech's most likely "gets" at these positions? How many of each will they bring in? Which five star guy will (or maybe won't???) break our hearts on/near signing day? There are always a lot of names and offers floating around out there but I'm curious about which of these guys will Tech actually land, and who is Tech recruiting the hardest? Any other dire need positions?

I went down the rabbit hole during lunch today and wound up on the 22 person recruiting class the Hokies signed in 2011 (http://virginiatech.247sports.com/Season/2011-Football/Commits). Only four members established themselves as entrenched starters over their career, and only 5 more have a chance to do so this season. Over half the class is already a bust either because of injury (bust is a harsh way to put it), transfer, legal or on-field performance.
