2016 WR Tino Ellis Writes No Truth to Possible Decommitment

2016 Virginia Tech WR target and Maryland verbal commitment Tino Ellis blogged about his recruitment at Recruit Diaries. Among other things he discussed Randy Edsall's termination, D.J. Durkin's hiring and how he remains committed to Maryland. It's an insightful read (and the website itself is a really cool project started by a 17-year-old).

Incoming Virginia Tech DE Jimmie Taylor Profiled

The Daily News published a recent profile on 2016 early enrollee DE Jimmie Taylor. The Southwest (Jacksonville, NC) standout's senior season was cut short with a broken hand.

"I landed wrong on my hand. I thought I just jammed it so I kept going. I didn't even bother to tape it up or nothing like that. I played the rest of the game. Then I let my dad see it and he noticed my hand was swollen like a baseball mitt so he took me to the ER and they said it was broke. Then the doctor said I was done for the season," Taylor said.

Virginia Tech Offered 2017 RB Kyshaun Bryan

The Hokies dipped into Florida (Fort Lauderdale) to offer 2017 American Heritage RB Kyshaun Bryan. Bryan is a 4-star prospect according to the 247Sports Composite. As much as Fuente and his staff want to win Virginia (and they should), Florida has been especially kind to Tech over the years. Enhancing Tech's presence in the Sunshine State is a prudent maneuver.

OL Mike Arnold

Saw this tweet from Bitter but it looks like the tweet it references has been pulled. I believe the original tweet was a video of Arnold with Jimbo Fisher announcing his commitment to FSU. Sucks if its true, we definitely need all the OL recruits we can get.

I am not sure of the legitimacy of the source (Mount Tabor Sports Marketing, which is also posting scores and sports news from his school), however tweets have been posted with pictures of Divine Deablo signing his national letter of intent to enroll early with Virginia Tech.
