The lack of depth showed big time in game 2 in 2 days. We just didn't have the legs to get into the shots, lazy passes, etc. We have what 7 players who log minutes? Asking them to do it again on a 3rd day in a row, against a very good UVA team would be a very tough ask, no doubt they would give their best effort...but when you are pushing your body to the limit day after day, that's when injuries happen. We already saw Outlaw and KBJ get a little banged up, those are two that we need healthy for the big dance (honestly, we can't afford to lose anyone)...I mean FSU was doing damn line changes, and we essentially played with 6 people (Horne got 4 minutes, Kabongo got 1 minute, Wilkins got 21).
It would be nice to get another crack at UVA, but would we have beat them? Who knows, but I have my doubts. Rest up, get healthy, and get ready to get 5 back and make a run in the tourney!
