The real question is: Will the wins we have already so far this year during our tournament run, be wiped from the record-books? I guess it depends on how long the staff knew about this, and if they still allowed him to play.

My worry for the future with this whole deal is that the program isn't ready to handle a major mix up. I feel like the program is at a very pivotal point. One the one hand, if Buzz were here a few more years, I could see us making leaps and bounds and being a steady contender, and having sustained success that we could handle a coaching transition.

I feel like right now, the success of the program is still in its infancy and not yet to a point where we can endure a coaching change and expect continued success, unless the perfect hire is made....I, ever the pessimist, think we're back to a below average ACC team for a few more years.

Maybe I'm wrong, hopefully I'm wrong.

Oates started with Buffalo in 2015. His recruits are as follows:
2016 - two 3 stars, one "NA" (Natl Rank 100)
2017- one 4 star, one 3 star, one NA (Natl Rank 89)
2018- one 4 star, one 3 star, one NA (Natl Rank 76)
2019- one 3 star, three 2 stars (Natl Rank 118)

out of curiosity - comparatively, in that same timeframe we've pulled in:
2016- three 3 stars (Natl Rank 88) - None of which are currently on the team, S. LeDay, Pig, Sy
2017- two 4 stars, one 3 star - (Natl Rank 18) NAW, Bede, Horne
2018- one 4 star, two 3 star - (Natl Rank 54) Nolley, Kabongo, Wilkins
2019- one 4 star, three 3 star- (Natl Rank 25)

I think given the allure of playing in the ACC, and Virginia Tech in general, he would be able to recruit just fine for us

My hope is that with how much attention the bad officiating is getting since the Duke/UCF game, the NCAA is telling whoever will be reffing our game to "even it out a little"

Well, I forgot to do laundry saturday, so for last nights game, I wore the same VT shirt that I wore friday....guess it's not getting washed now til post-tourney.

Final four will be one 4 seed and three double digit seeds, calling it now

Zion Cam

"Because of Zion [Williamson], we have added a camera dedicated to him the whole time he is on the floor," CBS coordinating producer of college basketball Marc Wolff told The State. "We hired a cameraman, a camera, a digital tape machine to record everything he does."

Not surprising, considering there was a camera focused on him the entire game against VT when all he did was sit on the bench
