I actually chalk this up to two of the three teams we've played having poised QBs who escaped pressure. How many times did one of our D linemen bounce off Cardale? Appleby escaped some pressure that I think most QBs take a sack on. I think you'll see sacks go up. We're already getting into the backfield consistently on D. Eventually we'll face QBs who can't juke our DL.
This one surprises me. I really thought Stanford had started the slide back into mediocrity.

IMO, Motley looked very good. Not Furman third quarter good, but really good. Had issues handling the snap a few times, and was not aware of blind side pressure. Has room to improve. But I mean, jeeze, he completed over 60% of his passes with a YPA of a hair under 10. 2 TDs, no INTs. How much can you ask for?
