"Defense, you're in good position, just TACKLE!"
God when was the last time an opposing head coach said that about our offense?
I think we tack on fifteen more attempts, get Motley into the mid-thirties. Hopefully the D locks down and Lawson gets the fourth quarter.
Disagree. We have six more quarters to get Motley completely up to speed with the passing game at live speed. Have to keep throwing it some.
At the half:
Motley 12 of 19, 200 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
9 rushes, 30 yards, 1 TD
Total Offense: 330 yards. That's a fucking game's worth last year.
That was dirty as fuck.
Oh fuck no. Ford.
Let's see how aggressive we get here.
Blow me, ESPN third stringers.
Sometimes the ball bounces your way.
Ahmad Brooks can eat a bag of dicks.
Good lord just looked at stats and JCC is averaging 7 a carry.
DAMN almost had that.
Defense backs up the offense with a 3 & out. Now to put more points on the board.
That was MONUMENTAL drive. Hell of a response. This is Motley's offense now.
Damn Motley has got some game.
That is a bullshit PF on Teller. The Purdue defender was running into him.
Seriously. Fuck these guys.
Motley's got moxy.
Exactly. They know it'll draw a PI with no danger of an INT because our guys aren't looking for the ball.
It's officially time for Gray to change his strategy of playing the defender's eyes and hands. Opponents have adjusted.
Yes, Durkin, or as he is now known on TKP, Bizarro Logan Thomas.
Also, the position is stacked this year. But Malleck is gone after this season and you have to look to the future. I love being this stacked at TE and would like to continue the trend for years to come. That means finding and grooming replacements.
I'll have you know 90% of the reason I ever go to Costco is for the sample sizes...
Lefty and Steve could have conversations where every other coach in the room is like:

Great breakdown. I'm wondering if the sample size is sufficient to draw strong conclusions though. Today and next week will go a long way in establishing Motley's trends when he's comfortable with the scheme. So far we've had four quarters if meh and one quarter where the lights came on. His preferences might change once he's out of the learning curve.

You don't WANT us to be a program that's seen as a program-making win even when we're down?
