Me the day after Thanksgiving.

Interestingly enough, the director and co-writer of Inside Out wasn't aware of Herman's Head when he began development of the project. He got the idea looking at two pictures of his daughter taken years apart, one when she was three and completely happy and another when she was eleven and a bit more sullen.
Interesting how two people can have almost the exact same idea without influencing each other.
Jesus, right??? Somebody was chopping onions in my theater. Not cool, man.
Loving the height we are picking up at receiver. It's one thing we've traditionally lacked.
If we enforced the drink rule here you might die of alcohol poisoning.
Might sound weird, but the most original stuff coming out of Hollywood right now is by Pixar, hands down. Took the kids to see Inside Out on Friday night. It wasn't just the best animated movies I've seen in a while, it was one of the best movies I have ever seen. Worth the watch even if you don't have kids.

Everything you say is accurate, and I'm not worried about percentage in state vs percentage out of state recruits. That wasn't the conversation I was trying to start and I'm sorry if that's what I came off as. My concern is that there's one coach on staff who has had a murder of a time recruiting his territory for the last little bit. I don't care if his territory is Richmond, or Florida, or Timbuktu. If he's noticeably whiffing in his territory, that's the concerning part, not where the territory is.
I'm also not saying to hell with Shane. It's more, hey, what's going on here. A traditionally strong recruiter is coming up lame. Not that we as random fans on a website can actually do anything to fix it, but it's definitely something worth taking the time to talk about, especially in the dead of the off season.
Think it's more his own personal addendum than a disclaimer
It's the latter example that bothers me. Some recruits aren't going to give us the time of day, and that's whatever. But the kids that go elsewhere out of the blue, it's getting to be enough that it strains credibility to say they are all just flukes. Elliot had every reason to come to VT. This one leaves me scratching my head big time.
I too am a fan of Shane. The players love him, and the development of JCC and Trey tells me the guy can coach the position. I just don't know what's up with his territory right now. He isn't bringing recruits in, though. That part is just hard fact. I hope it's like TechHokie13 said above, just flukey recruiting stories. But everything should have pointed to Shane landing this one. There's being a fan of a guy, and then there's wearing blinders. Something is going on and needs to be fixed.
The season needs to hurry up and get here before this site goes emo from all the angst.
It's weird. He just keeps following around our wide receivers all over campus, knocking stuff out of their hands that they try to grab.
Maybe Shane is having a hard time adjusting to his new role as setup man. It's a different style than he's used to using. Shane excelled when he developed personal relationships with his recruits, and he can't do that with this new system of evaluating recruits and then handing them over to their position coach. Maybe his strength is the long game, which he can't do anymore. The fact that his recruiting area is struggling while our running back recruiting has improved makes me wonder if that's the case. Shane is selling his position, but for whatever reason is struggling in his assigned region.
WTF is up with Shane?
Had a very solid track record here as well up until the last couple of cycles. Like I said, I really hope it's a lull instead of a trend. Not enough data to establish which it is yet.
For me personally, the Shai McKenzie debacle was more than enough off the field issues to tide me over.
If one coach in particular has had a noticeable decline in recruiting, that's worth noting. Shane has not been closing lately at the same rate he was when he first came to VT. Overall productivity is up, but that doesn't mean that every individual coach has improved on the trail. I agree that we don't care where the recruits come from, but we do care if one specific coach's overall results are trending downward.
Shane has not been pulling his weight lately on the recruiting trail, and that is concerning. Hopefully it's a lull rather than a trend.
You sure? Profile says VT player's dad.
That's Caleb's dad, right?
Depending on how much Asante and/or Knowles step up, Kumah could be one injury away from seeing the field as a true freshman. Hell, it might not even take an injury.

That was my favorite TKP thread ever.
