The biggest issue is that it's inconsistent. The strike zone is the most subjective thing in professional sports. You will never get perfect agreement with a computerized pitch tracker, and the size of the strike zone literally changes with each batter. But the shape of the zone has to stay consistent. If a corner isn't there in a game, that's fine so long as both pitchers know it's never there. But these missed calls are all over the zone.

That makes about as much sense as the plot of Highlander 2. Saban is poorly suited to coach in the NFL, but might just be the best college football coach every. His top strengths are specifically what sets the college game apart from the pros.

This is honestly the argument for him coming back next season. He has a very difficult time catching the ball in stride. I believe he can learn to run under a ball rather than falling into it. Right now his lack of YAC will ding his draft stock, but I'm not sure it will be by enough to make him think coming back is the smart move. I do, however, think he will have a better chance to stick in the League if he gets that part of his game figured out in college.

Let's get practical for a second.

Suppose he joins the program. Suppose he's an absolute locker room cancer. He's one and done. Do you think he can do enough damage to the program in one season to fundamentally damage it? Worse case scenario, he's benched and quits. But if he can be a contributor in 2018, why not take a chance? Seems pretty low risk with a chance for significant reward.

I imagine you snapping your fingers with a mean head bob as you said that.

Or grown men need to CTFO and stop wringing their hands over 20 year olds' Twitter feeds.

That clip of Javier Baez was as he left the dugout after the Cubs won last night to force a game 6. In that context, it's a positive.

Goddammit, you spoke his name! Don't you know you have to finish drawing the circle before you say his name???

But that doesn't prevent the fans from calling for the coach to be fired.

Wow. It was one thing when Bama's backup QB transferred to get playing time. But for your starting RB to transfer midseason? That's unprecedented.

Nailed it. Vols fans abandon or turn on their team at the first stumble. I can't believe the amount of shit-talking they do about their own players.

ACC, Big XII and PAC-12 officiating is all suspect at best. SEC doesn't like to review close plays for some reason, but by and large the officiating seems okay. B1G seems to have the best officiating.

if they are both supposed to be so elite, how do all of their co-eds look like soccer moms at the age of 19?

Because only hot girls can be smart?
