He may have discovered he is not only better as a DC than as an HC, but that he enjoys that level of responsibility more. If that is the case, and he is looking more to remain a DC instead of being a big whistle again, I can see him wanting to stay here, not relocate, and be with his long time friend/coach. He had good defenses at Pedo, so should be able to do that here once we get the athletes to athlete.

Trigger warning needed. I'm still mad about falling for my 6 year old son's setup yesterday:

"Hey dad, what is 6 times 7?"
"42"
"What year is it going to be in 42 years?"
"Oh, I guess that would be two thousand- ugh... " *face palm*
"SIX SEVEN SIX SEVEN"

Anyways he's grounded until he's older than 7.

If we have an offense that is ranked anywhere above #25, I'll be happy. And I don't mean one that sputters for large portions of the game and then has a few big plays. I mean a legitimately consistent offense in that can be in the top 25. I know this is a tall ask in Blacksburg!!

Imagine how these amazing videos are going to hit in a year or two when VT is going to take the field the next day and absolutely beat the piss out of the opponent.

My NFL team is the Broncos. After a slight hiccup that had me joking that 'if I had a nickel for every time I've called for Vance Joseph to be fired, I'd only have a dime, but it's weird that I've had to ask twice,' bringing back the failed head coach as a defensive coordinator seems like it only ever works out. So I'm on board with it.

Mississippi State was 15th overall in SP+ in 2018 (couldn't find ranking for offense) and had the 36th ranked offense in 2018.
Oregon's offense was 17th in SP+ in 2020 and the 22nd ranked offense in 2021.
I don't think that those stints count as unsuccessful. The offenses were pretty strong at both locations.
From 2022 to this year Akron's offense has ranked: 116th, 132nd, 129th, and 127th.
It seems like when he has P5 talent, he can produce a good offense. I'm not sure if any of the Akron years provide much information given how bad that program almost always is.
