Ha! I initially went with all home teams, then switched one...
Here's the 3-3 (an improvement over my already 87 weeks of scoring 2!)

I initially went with all away teams - then I thought to myself "what are the odds that every away team wins?" and switched one ยฏ\_(ใƒ„)_/ยฏ

Just a small difference of a guy who has never been a head coach at any level before being fired up and a guy who is currently a head coach at a SEC school who has legitimately risen their profile since he's been there being fired up.

and this coaching search isn't pulling me back in

While I share your other concerns, I wouldn't put too much stock in what we are hearing in the coaching search. It is all just rampant speculation at this point. Lots of rumors and rumors of rumors. Even the breakdowns here, while useful and interesting, don't actually tell us anything about what is being discussed in the committee.

One of the problems of moving on from Pry when we did is that we have weeks and weeks of time worry and over analyze this situation when it is very unlikely we are going have any real information before the end of November or the beginning of December.

edit: though I'd love to be done sooner if that is possible. I just don't think its likely.

My opinion is if Shane is hired as the HC then VT as an organization is cooked. They have no new ideas and can't let go of the past. They clamor for the old days and they have no idea how to replicate that without a Beamer being the HC. CFB in '25 has passed by the decision makers and they have no idea what to do or how to catch up. Maybe this is why they got rid of the 'Invent the future' motto.

I have already lost a lot of interest in the program this year and this coaching search isn't pulling me back in. If Shane is hired I might just not care anymore and just look for the game results when I find time. It would be nothing against Shane but that is just not the direction the program should go.

8 Old Mississippi at 13 Oklahoma (OK -4.5)
18 South Florida at Memphis (USF -3.5)
23 Illinois at Washington (UW -4.5)
15 Missouri at 10 Vanderbilt (V -3.5)
Stanford at Miami(F) (Mi. -30.5)
(3) Tammie at (20) Louisiana State (aTM -2.5)

Drink of the week: ???? Who knows. Something. Probably something from Dewey Beer. Hopefully stopping there after our round at the private CC nearby on Saturday. That means I won't have to personally watch my picks go down in flames, just get to read it and weep Sunday morning.

One other thing to add to the conversation here is that wrestling allows redshirts to enter tournaments and wrestle "unattached". I fully expect Caleb will still be competing in the top tournaments in November and December as a representative of SERTC and not VT.

He would absolutely be as fired up as a person can be to get our program back on track. It wouldn't be just another job for him

While I agree with the general context of your post, the same could be said about Pry coming here.

I said this when they proposed this "deal". It will not bring depth and parity to the conference. It will allow the rich to get richer (was a terrible knee jerk response to the lawsuit). If you're good and popular you'll get viewership and therefore more money. If you're not, you won't. The way to strengthen the conference is equity pay or to use this model upside down (like the NFL, the worst team gets the highest draft pick). What's the one thing you can do to get better...money.

I frequently have to refresh or click on the TKP 2025 link to bring up the picks for the week.

Will it though? Im worried it wont be as drastic an increase as we are assuming. They will always throw FSU Clemson and Miami on the cable even when they are straight up trash that year. I could see us slotting in where Louisville is if we win like we should. The drop off from from the top 3 is pretty drastic.

Why is notre dame even in this. Of course they'll be number one every single one of their games in on TV. Do they still have that tv contract with NBC? The ACC should be investigated for fraud and negligence for not forcing Noter Dame football as a full ACC member. Join or go kick rocks.

Shane isn't a splash hire right now, given his record at South Carolina, but he does everything we'd need a coach to do, and he's got more experience and is a better all around coach than our last two coaches. He can put the program on the right path.

Though Shane isn't obvious top pick, he should absolutely be on our list of possibilities. He would absolutely be as fired up as a person can be to get our program back on track. It wouldn't be just another job for him. he'd be ready to light the place on fire.

If he returned to VT, there can be no doubt that he'd give it his very best. For that reason, I'd be OK with it.

Yeah, I always thought that penalty was a fine example of how much ncaa did not trust the refs.
