Looks like South Alabama is going to win after a blatant no call on defensive pass interference. Got called for one but not the next one. Really ready for college to adopt the NFL rule for PI being at the spot. The PI that was called would have been 55 yards but College makes it 15.

Then Georgia State allowed the first and goal so let South Alabama score on next play and they ran it in, leaving Georgia St with a timeout, and 1:49 left to go score. South Alabama could have milked it down to almost nothing and still has all their timeouts. Major Applewhite looking like Pry on clock management.

South Alabama curiously snapping the ball with like 12-15 seconds left on play clock each time. Really poor clock management.

As I typed that Georgia State fumbled, it was returned for TD, but penalty for blind side block was called and then it went to review where the fumble was upheld which looked to be a really bad call.

South Alabama ball just inside the 50 with 4 minutes to go.

Been a really fun game to watch. All tied at 31 with about 5 minutes left.

I don't think any school that wants a natty hires Franklin. Whether his ceiling is real or not, the perception is there.

I also do not think that there is any coach right now that get us reorganized AND get us to win the CFP final game.

I think he's exactly what we need to get to that level then evaluate if he's learned how to become the coach to get to a natty.

tldr we are not a serious program if we hire shane. I told joe: we are on this trajectory unless frank steps in and stops it.

on the other hand, if shane comes here and lives up to frank's legacy or (Allah permit) surpasses it... it will basically be the greatest story in the history of cfb. I'd be a bitch and wipe a tear at his first presser

at least we aren't all clamoring for mv7

There's the "do the opposite" list for the week, guys.

Tonight it's the battle of 1-6's or Battle to Not Be Eliminsted. South Alabama at Georgia State.

Justified. The way that game was called was absurd.

The Kirby Smart "clapping" was probably the least influential screw up but it was absolute confirmation that the crew just had no handle on that game at all.

The new ownership groups had to ante up $250M a piece.

They do have a $200M a year TV deal that starts in 2026 out to 2037 but that's chump change broken up between 15-18 teams.

Players may try to strike as well as they don't have a new CBA. Said to be demanding huge raises across the board.

All this from a league that lost $40M last year and an average of $10M a year for the 25 years prior to that.

Ventresca might still be here next year at 125. Rumored that they may be going after a medical redshirt for his injured season two years ago especially now that Caleb is redshirting this year.

That projected line up looks to be our best shot ever - competitve in each weight class from top to bottom.
But hats off to the Hit Man for taking the redshirt as that had to be a very hard decision to make knowing he was in line to take the individual national championship at 149 again this season. Respect!
