In the coaches meeting: "Dammit, we were so busy making sure all LBs stayed off of Jet Skis and Wave Runners, that we forgot all about cars..."

Just got back from my 2 summer golf trips. The first weekend in August I played The Dream and The Nightmare in West Branch, Michigan. The courses were good layouts, but the carts at The Dream were death traps (no motor braking and soft brakes in general on a hilly course). These are premier northern Michigan golf courses, but the Northern Michigan golf scene is really solid.

Last weekend, my buddies and I went to French Lick, IN. We played Sultans Run, the Ross Course and the Dye Course. Sultans Run was a great layouts but the greens were shaggy and bumpy. Overall it was a little disappointing. Shot an even 100 because I couldn't figure out the greens chipping or putting.

The Ross Course has been around for over a century, and is an extremely challenging layout. False fronts, greens on top of hills, bunkers in the middle of the fairway about where your driver would land and a fair bit of heather. Shot a 95 with a 4 hole par streak to end the round.

The Dye Course is the jewel of the 3. Immaculate condition, peppy greens and lots of visual appeal. It's not cheap, but worth it if you like exquisite golf. Also, a couple surprises at the end of the round which I won't spoil in case you want to play it. Shot a 96.

We wrapped up the weekend with a stop in Bloomington, IN to play the PFAU course at IU. If you can keep it in play off the tee, there are opportunities to score. If you don't, you're going to be punished. Managed to scratch out a 97.

How dare Taylor and Travis upstage our Middle Linebacker news. We all know our teams were great when Beamer had his team in the news when it came to drinking and bar fights

I can guarantee you that the Ohio State, Georgia, Texas, Alabama teams are out partying the week before their first week of games as well. Hell, the '95 Cowboys had a party house and would do wild things during game week. Let the kids enjoy their youth while they still have it (but do it responsibly)

I recently did a batch that I made a Chipotle BBQ sauce and a chili mayo. Can't go wrong with a chili cheese queso option either.

You could also consider upgrading the bread by using a pretzel dough.

Shane played at Tech from 95 - 99. He was the long snapper for the team and I am pretty sure any time Tech went with all orange unis during that time frame, it was a loss. At one point, Frank commented he was going to instruct the training staff to burn them.

Damn wasn't expecting that. Seemed to have a really good preseason but they have stars at End

They are saying its because he didn't have a special teams role compared to two of the other edge rushers

This sounds pretty damn good. Having had first-hand Conecuh sausages (wife's family used to gather for holidays at the family farm in Conecuh county, AL), I'm intrigued at how they'd go with a white sauce. Hmmmm.

You could...but beware.
