UNC traditionally does not play great in Cassel. And this is not a good UNC team... BUT they are strong (point guard/slashers) where we are weak. Could be a close game.
Probably different predictors, about 1000 of them these days. Have two gimme games left before ACCT so as long as they don't blow those they will be 23-6 and either #4 or #5 in ACCT.

The ACC- tobacco road, Duke UNC, Dabo Swinney- is dead. Done. Gone. Dead Man Walking. It is not a matter of if, its a matter of when. The conference is dead the moment you have unequal revenue sharing. Duke is asinine if they don't go independent in basketball now. They are the biggest brand in the sport, by far and won't make as much money as Northwestern hoops. Fuck that. Maryland, Mich State, Kansas, all of the carolina schools would play them every year no issues. They could easily put a schedule together. They are a bigger hoops brand than ND is a football brand. I said what I said.

SMU right now is in the tournament. They are 21-6 and a projected 9 seed.

Heard that NC State was planning to fire Keatts after the season, but when they fell into a time warp and won all those games, not only couldn't they fire him, but a contract clause kicked that auto extended the contract and gave him a raise. Don't know if it's true, but got to love it.

# | OT: MLB terminates TV contract after ESPN tried to reduce payments for 2026 and beyond I mean at this point, if I were the ACC, Big XII, AAC, MWC, etc, I'd absolutely be exploring options to team up for a streaming-only platform that removes all games across all sports to a single one stop shop and sell it as a subscription to fans. And I mean complete media blackout otherwise, make it so the people who want to watch anything for any school in those conferences have to buy the subscription. Leave ESPN with only the SEC and that gigantic contract to air, and see how quickly their viewers get SEC fatigue.
Sure, you might lose money on the short term, but this is absolutely where sports viewership is going, and why not pool resources to create a home grown system that the conferences themselves control that can be sold direct to the viewers?
My FIL says he played against him when he played for WVT in '62-'63.
