I would pay more per year on the MLB package if it included in-market games as well. Right now its $150 per year to watch all out of market games for MLB.tv, and being in Raleigh I'm we don't have a team within 5 hours driving right now, but that doesn't stop us from having local blackouts of the Braves, Orioles, and Nationals, none of which are even available on any tier of my YTTV subscription.

With RSNs failing across the board, its only a matter of time before the leagues just absorb those local rights back and sell a full end to end product to the fans, and then sell off exclusive national broadcasts of the ASG, Home Run Derby, and Playoffs to entities like Amazon, Netflix, FOX, ESPN, etc.

Yeah I'm with you. Even if we end up in the Big XII, fuck the ACC I don't want any part of this shit anymore.

I'm with DC here. VT should say "fuck off" to the ACC and leave. Don't pay a dime, either. Force this into the courts. The ACC will die before the courts figure anything out. Years of litigation will likely save VT in the long run because when the ACC inevitably collapses (it will, and soon) there won't be anyone to collect whatever VT may "owe" anyway

"between Barefoot resort and Pawleys"- that's like literally the whole strand

My advice would be to try to get tee times ahead of time. Things fill up quickly. And if you are teeing off at 11ish or so, just be prepared for a 5+ hour round. It is what it is with that many people out there. The courses that are more expensive have space tee times a little more, but are making up for the lost 4somes in the other times across the board.

I haven't played any of the 4 you mention. (5 if you include TPC) But all are name brands down there and don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Pawleys Plantation is a Nicklaus design which makes me iffy on it, but that's my issue overall with his golf architecture.

Edit: if you wanted breakfast before Pawley's check out BisQit. Might need a reservation, but they have spiked milkshakes. (Although if it's hot, milkshakes before golf might not be ideal.) But if you need a dinner recommendation for after Pawley's check out Chive Blossom.

I think they've subsided and are either contained or out.

"TarHoles are led by RJ Davis and come to Cassell squarely on the wrong side of the bubble right now"- LMFAO- not only is UNC getting in, they will avoid Dayton and be a 9 seed. Mark my words. They could also go on a random run and win 5 games in 5 days like random NC State team did last year. How is final four NC State random team doing this year?

VT should be first for once. Leave the ACC asap. It's dead. Every unequal share league has died- all of them. Don't whistle past the graveyard- leave that corpse and go -anywhere- else. Boise made the playoffs last year. Fuck the ACC.

Welp lets take this year specifically... We got dusted by Penn State, lost to St. Joes, lost at home to Jacksonville, lost to USCe. None of those teams are in the tournament PSU and USCe are god awful P4 teams. So yeah to overcome that would have taken a sweep of Duke and going 17-3 in the ACC or something similar. In conference we lost to SMU, UVA, BC- non tourney teams. Every year is different. Next year for example, if we lose 4 OOC quad 4 games, we aren't getting in unless we have 8 Q1 wins to counter it, etc.

Tuesday morning March 4

Paige pulled out of Nenana in 8th place at 7:45 PM local time/11:45 M east coast with 16 dogs, having rested about 3 hours at the checkpoint.

Current GPS tracker shows her resting on the trail in 10th place, 107 miles in and 1,021 miles to Nome.

The current leaders are Matt Hall and then a whole bunch of people clustered together within a mile of each other:

Matt Hall with 16 dogs 111 miles in/1,017 to Nome
Travis Beals with 16 dogs 107 miles in/1,021 to Nome
Ryan Reddington with 16 dogs 107 miles in/1,021 to Nome
Riley Dyche with 16 dogs 107 miles in/1,021 to Nome
Brenda Mackey with 16 dogs 107 miles in/1,021 to Nome
Nicholas Petit with 16 dogs 107 miles in/1,021 to Nome
Jason Mackey with 16 dogs 107 miles in/1,021 to Nome
Jessie Holmes with 16 dogs 107 miles in/1,021 to Nome
Gabe Dunham with 16 dogs 107 miles in/1,021 to Nome
Paige Drobny with 16 dogs 107 miles in/1,021 to Nome

I would scrap broadcast altogether. Create a MLB global streaming service, own all ad revenue and let networks pay to have co-rights for Playoffs and World Series broadcast rights. Absorb Japan and Korea on sub-channels promoting more crossover players and MLB games in those markets.

Will make significantly more than what ESPN or broadcast channels would pay you.

E$ecPN Predictor gives us a 21.7% chance to win, so there is that. UNCheat listed as 7.5 point favs, but I'm not a betting man and for sure wouldn't bet on VT either way in any game.

Wife did once and I got stuck buying a BC t-shirt for her to wear the following year; betting with my BC-grad cousin in the infamous Ryan Willis zillion interception game in Beantown.

Monday night at about 9:40.

Jason Mackey was first into Nenana and he quickly pulled out. Stopped fairly soon after getting out of town and has the team resting away from the crowds. He is officially listed in first, 57 miles in and 1,071 miles to Nome.

Paige is listed as being 11th on the leaderboard, having pulled into Nenana at 4:52 PM local; time/8:52 east coast. She has the team resting in Nenana with 20 other mushers according to the GPS tracker, 52 miles in and 1,076 to Nome. Most (or all) may be waiting for cooler weather. Only Jason Mackey and Bailey Vitello chose to leave the area around town and rest away from people.

At the back of the pack, Quince Mountain is moving again, so that is good to see. I was worried something had happened to him or one of his dogs.
