Reid is 33 wins behind him, if Bill stays in college, Reid with Mahomes just needs probably 3 more seasons to pass him and is only 66.
Great entertainment. Fun to see the pros not taking themselves seriously and letting their hair down for a bit. It's more like peeping in watching them play darts with a pitcher than actual golf, but really getting to see a few great shots from them from time to time.
My issue is that it's great now, with snow on the ground, it's cold, the tour has been in Hawaii but the NFL playoffs are in full swing...but the regular season runs until Mar 4. Then throw in 3 weeks of playoffs and you're into March Madness timeframe. Hoping they slide this to Nov/Dec/Jan next year for the silly season type not overlapping with the full tour season. Might be interesting to see how things go when they have to hop a flight Tuesday night after a match at SoFi to make the pro-am at the tour stop, or even worse, try to get to SoFi after practicing at at tour stop, then getting back. (Can't miss the pro-am or you get fined and DQ'd byt the tour...) There's the Cali swing coming up.
But overall, straight entertaining. It's not real golf. The holes prove that. It's simulator golf on steroids, just like how the pros get to play on top level courses and conditions that we'll never see. Not sure I'll catch every match, or work my schedule around it being on, but for now, given the weather and winter doldrums, I'll tune in.
A term sheet is still a contract that is binding if the parties agree to the terms.
Terms within a term sheet only become nonbinding if the parties have a subsequent agreement that is different than the term sheet.
I'd consider it
I saw new comments on this thread and thought someone posted a job opening for Defensive Coordinator.

Maybe the real Defensive Coordinator is the friends we made along the way
So Bill may very well yet bail on UNC and leave them at the altar.

Depends on who the new DC wants to keep or let go.
"We will announce game week prior to our season opener. Keep the DC competition open and the other team guessing." โ Bill Belicheck probably
Won't disagree- I'm just speaking root cause... too much non winning things around the program, and lack of attention to detail. Those are why he is not winning here big picture. The 2 mins preceding half time against Miami, Pry did everything- everything wrong. He called timeout inexplicably with 30 seconds left on the clock- instead of fucking 3 seconds... and to compound matters he squib kicks to their all conference return guy. Literally the opposite of what Joe Gibbs would do in every aspect.
The Vandy loss/extra man on the field was a fixable mistake. Yes, it's evidence that pry isn't saban/bellicheck/etc, but I don't think any of us were expecting that? Kalen Deboer - who I think is a fantastic coach - made the same mistake (ironically also against Vandy). I just don't think this was anywhere near as egregious as the Miami 2-minute drill (or lack thereof). You're welcome to disagree though.
I saw "commits" and got excited, thinking we had two commits in the game. But three?!?

it's a fair question - I need to spend the next couple months figuring that out - I've done several different things so my experience and background is varied. I started as a design engineer in a manufacturing facility designing custom steel products for work trucks for tree-care, tele-com, and energy companies (mostly) and then transitioned a project management roll with a heavy civil contractor for a few years before joining Peace Corps. After Peace Corps I got my current job with a med device company where I became the global subject matter expert for a specific type of quality contract that we have in place with most of our supply base. So, not exactly sure what I'd like to tackle next yet. This news is still pretty fresh so I'm going to take some time to sit and think about what I want to do
GO DC GO! Love a good bud rant!

Not a chance. Jones reiterated several times this season that he is the best GM in football still to this day- even when pressed on it. He still thinks he is the best GM, so no chance he gives that title to Belichick- hell he fired Jimmy Johnson over it. But in the modern NFL, Belichick just needs a good QB. Good QBs win, bad ones don't - it's really that simple. Dak is overrated, but he is not terrible. Bellichick can win 10,11 games with him - and in 2 years he has the record.
the delay itself makes me feel less confident in the quality of that hire.
I get this - but that anxiety (literally the discomfort caused by uncertainty) will be replaced with another emotion the moment the hire is announced/leaked.
Even after defunding other sports in favor of football, I still think that he is cheap. Maybe it's a mindset thing, but I just don't trust him to actually cut the necessary check that Pry might need.
I think it's a mindset thing. There is plenty to criticize Whit for. This is not one of them imo.
I just can't make good contact with my 5 iron on full shots. Hate the ball flight and strike feels off. Usually ends up going my 6 iron distance anyways because it'll launch too low or fall out of the sky from too little spin. I'll swing out of my shoes on a few and that's the only time I manage to hit it well. But that's inconsistent and not enough control for a stock shot, let alone trying to hit a stinger.
Golf fittings now are amazing. They can swap out shafts, change the weights etc. Im due for new irons and I'm going to get a full bag fitting from PXG- I live in PHX. I'll see which ones work- and most importantly which shafts. I have my numbers from my current clubs saved from my home SIM (relatively accurate) and we shall see. Its a huge help to get fitted- for any handicap golfer.
Might as well hire me then, hell i'd be a bargain at 300-350k
Scary thought, can Jones give up enough control and let Bellichick win games in Dallas?
I've read it 5 times and still don't get it...but now I do want to go get some salami.
Built my first "real" set with the Rocketballz driver back in like 2013. I was in grad school and got a good deal on it from Cox's driving range in Blacksburg. Did OK with it but my swing was way different back then.
Didn't upgrade the bag until I got fit a few years back across the full bag - I couldn't hit whatever Taylormade had either. Went to Callaway and I've been pleased so far. Hopefully going to demo the new Callaway drivers soon to see if the Elyte is all it's hyped up, or maybe get one of the Paradyms now that they're "old news" and cheaper.

I'd say, generally, might be better to carry the 13 instead of adding a 14th which you aren't confident in, and be tempted to hit it, or worse, feel obligated to try to hit it, and it not work out for you. Bad decisions can cost strokes, so if you take out the temptation, it might work out better.
