Built my first "real" set with the Rocketballz driver back in like 2013. I was in grad school and got a good deal on it from Cox's driving range in Blacksburg. Did OK with it but my swing was way different back then.

Didn't upgrade the bag until I got fit a few years back across the full bag - I couldn't hit whatever Taylormade had either. Went to Callaway and I've been pleased so far. Hopefully going to demo the new Callaway drivers soon to see if the Elyte is all it's hyped up, or maybe get one of the Paradyms now that they're "old news" and cheaper.

The shula record is more important to him than he's leading on and the guy most likely to catch him is McVay- who will get bored with NFL coaching long before he approaches that record. I think Bellichick wants the record- badly.

I was a taylor made driver guy forever and i'm decent with the driver- until the M1- I could not hit that thing for shit. Replaced it with a titleist and never looked back.

So apparently Bill Belichick has not yet actually signed any contract with UNC, he signed a "term sheet"

That laid out the basic and somewhat typical terms for a high-level college football coach. A gap of multiple months between the signing of a term sheet and a final contract being executed is common in the college ranks, industry sources said.

I've currently got a Taylormade Stealth 3W and I've just never been confident with it off the tee or off the deck, and it sounds awful to me. I'm pretty solid with driver (Callaway Rogue Triple Diamond) and don't usually play with a lot of penalizing rough, so I'll just pick a reasonable target for my shot shape and send it to where I don't mind if I miss the fairway by much.

I'm only hitting less than driver if I have to hit a specific number to a corner of a dogleg, or if the fairway runs out and there's trouble beyond it. My 2H gets a better ball flight, and finds target better than my 3W currently. Probably a skill issue but it is what it is.

I'm trying to understand what they were trying to do on that last play. The two players on the wing barely move. The other two coming to the ball had zero chance of getting the ball turning up court and taking a clean shot. Burnham made a great play on the ball, but Middlebrooks wasn't doing anything with it if he had gotten it. Just good assignment defense there by the Hokies.

Awesome game! They definitely play hard. Even if they stay near .500, it is a lot of fun to watch Lawal make athletic plays and dunks.

The Cavaliers and Thunder, who are on pace for 72 and 69 wins respectively, are going at it again tonight on TNT. If you want to see two teams who are just beating the brakes off the rest of the NBA, tune in.

At this moment- lol- My 3 wood is an awesome fairway finder if needed. It's a titleist TSR - sounds and hits great. I didn't have one in the bag for years, but brought this one in. At my club there are also a couple holes that it is perfect for.

I used to keep my 4i for just this. New irons didn't have a 4...I just learned how to hit a really low 5i and it does about the same if not better, I'm a lot more confident with my 5 so I took some chances I never would have with my 4 and a low stinging 5 is one of my better alternate shots now.

Yeah I might settle on 13 for the season and do the same - see what I'm missing.

My only thought right now is to add another hybrid as a replacement for my 5-iron (longest iron in the bag) because I hate hitting full shots with 5i, but keep it for punch shots either out of trouble or to keep it low when it's windy. I've got a naturally high ball flight so having a low lofted iron might be useful, but I can probably hit punch shots with my hybrid with some practice.

If we're being honest, Vick wasn't nearly as good in the NFL as Iverson was in the NBA.

And while he was (and still is) the most athletic QB in NFL history, I wouldn't quite say he was a trailblazer either. He wasn't the first "running QB" (that would probably be Randall Cunningham), and he didn't really change the position considering that the majority of elite NFL quarterbacks this century have still been primarily pocket passers.

So, what sort of role are you after? And what flavor of ME are you?

No idea what do with the 14th spot in the bag though.

I moved my bag around a lot last year and ended up on 13 and figured I'd play and find out what I'm missing....still playing with 13. Only thing I've come close to putting in my bag is another putter incase I miss with one I can blame it on that and switch.

My Christmas gift to myself was a replacement for my 54 degree which was sorely needed. Previously had the SM9 and went to the SM10 (bent down to 53 to help with gapping) and loving it so far.

Currently thinking about pulling 3 wood out of the bag - never hit the thing well and I've got a 17 degree 2H from Cobra that I hit pretty well as my 230 club right now. Launches pretty well so I can probably adjust it down to 15.5 and treat it like a 4 wood since I know a lot of folks game a 4W in place of the 3W. No idea what do with the 14th spot in the bag though.

Nothing like lecturing people...

...on lecturing people.

I don't mind people being "too fanatic". I rather expect that here. My objection is more when people complain about the AD for making decisions without knowing what the decisions are. Makes no sense to me, that's all.

I honestly don't care if we hire the waterboy from Kalamazoo's HS team if he can actually coach, recruit, and develop. It will look horrible, but results on the field and in recruits are what matter to me.

Smoke and mirrors babe, smoke and mirrors...
We're getting the safeties coach from Youngstown State as DC (or some equivalent) because we are Virginia Tech

It's called a trauma response, bestie. I'm not here to tell people they can't have their feelings about it but just that we can't control it and know nothing so it's probably better mentally to just wait and see.

If anyone is feeling a high amount of anxiety over this process, they should probably go do something else for a while, as dwelling on it isn't going to change the process a whole lot, but will likely cause even more anxiety.

Nothing quite like lecturing people on a fan message board that they are being too fanatic and should just not do that anymore
