44, 6'2" and a hefty (but strong) 238lbs as of this morning's weigh-in. Getting down to the 215 area is my goal for the year, and its all going to be done in the kitchen. Getting to the gym hasn't been the problem, its been a diet that is less than ideal combined with a metabolism that isn't what its used to, and a LOT of working from a desk for extended periods. Eating more whole foods, fewer carbs, and more cardio breaks throughout the day while aiming for 15k steps is what I'm after for January, and I'll adjust from there.

I like the way this young man thinks!

LET'S GO...

Samesies. And I can't imagine that we're able to pull a lateral move from a team that's in the playoffs. I'm preparing myself to be underwhelmed by the hire. Pry has to know that this is critically important to his career tho. If he doesn't nail this hire and our team sucks again next year that seat of his will be piping hot

My only thought on this whole thing right now other than the only reason the announcement is taking forever is that the next DC is still coaching and the announcement can't be made until the championship game is played. If that isn't the case... well... i've been used to getting let down a lot in sports recently.

The season can't get here soon enough. Hokie football was a disaster, basketball was an afterthought before the season began, and my NFL-world came crashing down to an end last night. With the Twins doing absolutely nothing in the offseason I have literally nothing to get excited about in all sports until play starts on the diamond.

yeah I would say so. My dad is pretty afraid of heights and didnt have an issue really.

For the most part, none of the hiking really has steep drop offs right next to the trails, so it wasn't a problem. There were just a few lookout/photo opportunity spots that he didnt feel the need to get close to.

I love Hilo but be prepared for a lot of rain. My two favorite spots:

Liliʻuokalani Gardens- volcanic rock beach waterfront park with beautiful Japanese architecture, walking paths, and beautiful vegetation.

S. Tokunaga Store- the coolest tackle shop I have ever been in. https://stokunagastore.com/

Sadly, we were fed at the hospital where we conducted the site visit, so I don't have any food recs.

Two spots I love for diner:

https://lolaparkcircle.com/ for Cajun food (although it is in North Charleston.

Lewis BBQ is also really good.

I also like to walk out on Mount Pleasant Pier for a view of the city and the river.

Always been curious about this trip. If you are afraid of heights, is it doable?

Well done. Alcohol is one of those things that have a lot of downsides, and the upside is often not as good as you think it will be. Hoping to use dry January as a boost to resetting how often/much I drink. What are you doing with all the $$$ you save?

This is what I do, and part of why I've not replaced my almost 10 year old Seiki "dumb" TV. I've never had a single issue with it, and it's not the slightest hassle to pair it with the palm-sized AppleTV that is also quite old at this point. The AppleTV has had considerably fewer "bad moments" than any Smart TV I've owned or my friends/family have had. There's been a handful times where I needed to restart it over many years.
