That just means that Duke's DC is a possibility/s

PJ dips his chip in the salsa and then in the cheese dip because he likes the combined flavor, much to the chagrin of his dinner guests.

Great friend of mine is a high end dentist (meaning does total reconstruction/cases- not cavities) in Charlotte. He has worked on several NFL players that either were on the Panthers or in their camp that then went to NASCAR to work. To a man they said NASCAR weight training and cardio was much tougher than the NFL. Those guys are beasts.

Nice article, thanks. I like the intersection of Auto Racing and Football (basically the only two sports I give any real attention).

And he is with a deep (probably the deepest) organization with Hendrick. He should have plenty of opportunities.

You know who else got his start with Hendrick Motorsports?

Caleb "Heisman" Hurd

Edit: And the article in the original post? Ugh. Mentions of VT:
"While he came to the organization following a decorated career at Virginia Tech University..."
"...Flynn happened to have a Virginia Tech game on television"
"...this linebacker at Virginia Tech with the last name of Hollifield is playing..."
"...when he finished his career at Virginia Tech (University)."
"...and attended Virginia Tech..."
"He was a leader on his team at Virginia Tech (University)."

There are three more Scholarship players, four in their class that just signed, and three walk ons. Rimac and Altuner were the highest rated. The one better OT signed with Missouri.

If you are referencing NewYear's Eve - it's the current year, I.e. 2024. If you are just saying New Years, it's the new year, I.e. 2025 as 2025 is the new year.

PJ has already scheduled a team trip to Lake Norman so that they can "Row The Boat" 🙄

Philip John Fleck Jr prefers to go by Junior, because everyone knows the best PJ's are soft.

PJ Fleck is excited to be playing at a warm weather destination bowl, and will be wearing his speedo and sunblock under the shirt and tie to expedite getting in the surf at the beach after the game.

No need to provide extra encouragement for me to pull against Penn State. Always and forever willing to jump on that bandwagon.

I'm not knocking anyone. I am stating the fact that in terms of every metric available we are not raising the talent level on the roster. We simply are not. Also subjectively - when your strategy is to hope to find a beast from FCS every year, well that is going to miss more than hit.

Let's not knock all the lower division guys...insert Tugboat!

Pry is signing D2 and FCS guys in the portal, so how important IS football to VT? That is the bottom line. If the answer is that they will turn out to be Bashul Tuten or we can't do any better, well there you go. Ultimately we will bring in more non P4 portal guys than P4 guys this cycle. Yeah Yeah, diamonds in the rough, yadda - but we have been 6-6 for 10 years give or take. Losing guys to the SEC and replacing them with guys from Wingate is not going to reverse that trend in any universe.

Supposedly, things are different this year. I don't have the exact documentation to support this. But, somewhere along the way, I read that transfers are essentially signing something binding. A "commitment" isn't really happening anymore without that signing.

With VT facing irrelevancy, maybe it's time for Whit AND Sands to put up or shut up talking about how important football is to VT. This is not the time to skimp on something the team REALLY needs.

I'm hoping for this, actually.
