Oh this is what I expected. But it just reiterates how truly awful she was to the ACC while she was tasked with covering us. She reeks of openly resenting the fact she had to cover our conference, and VT in particular, because she somehow feels we held her career back. Its shitblogging like this that made me stop reading ESPN in general a while ago.

The atmosphere for the Thursday night game will already be unbelievable. We've got a free concert on Tuesday and then the game on Thursday. Students are so ready for this game -- It will be a crazy Enter Sandman, I can assure you that.

God help us all if we win big, get ranked in the Top 10 and Miami wins and moves up a couple spots.

I know this has the potential to be a "trap game", so it wouldn't surprise me to see something relatively close. However, this also has the potential to be a complete blowout to the tune of 30 to 40+ points, especially the way our Special Teams unit has been playing.

3. Push geographically into Tx, Ark, Ok. It fits our staffs background, lots of good players there.

I'm all for playing schools in these states, but I don't see the point of trying to recruit there. I think games against UGA, UF, WVU, UT, USCjr, MD, UK and PSU would benefit us (geographically) from a recruiting standpoint.

not to turn this into a Teller critique but he does not use good technique consistently. This results in active DT's getting opportunities to push off his block and make plays at the LOS or in the backfield. He has the strength and drive to crush weaker opponents (e.g. most LB's) but against good DT's he only plays average.

It is. The bit of flag education I got from them taught me that what they call Single Sided Reverse is the most common type of printed flag. So it is a mirror image on the back. You can get them double sided, but its twice as much money because you basically end up with two flags sewn together with a blinder liner in the middle. It's just as clear on the other side, only backwards.

Two things bother/bewilder me: 1) I was under the impression that the deep ball was one of the things Evans was struggling with and 2) I really don't get the "surprise" about Mook. I mean, heck, he was highly ranked as a recruit. Been pretty much kicking everyone's ass this season. I'd say he's very much meeting/exceeding expectations. Why is this shocking?

This may be one of those weeks I consider muting the TV 500 times, but never end up doing it because the silence of my apartment frightens me more than a terrible announcing duo.

Hokie Hack: Put on the Laaser and Burnop Broadcast on TuneIn Radio, and sync it with the TV and mute the TV broadcast. Problem solved.

Yeah, TKP really needs a sarcasm tag/button, because that was 100% it. But I think it could be cool if VT and UT could continue to hold (at most) a biennial matchup against other P5 schools...i.e. at the very most frequent, VT would play a game there next year, then UT the year after that, then VT after that, etc. Maybe once every 4 years? Would be hard to get other schools to come there though, given it'd be a semi-home game for us (especially UT). But I very much enjoyed the whole weekend/event and would love to do it again. But I also agree that is was pretty ridiculously expensive, and not just for the game ticket.
