It's almost like going to a barbecue joint and asking for a hamburger.

learned the hard way that ALT+TAB is less useful on dual screens if the next program is already open on screen 2. So CTRL+TAB is actually my go to in chrome.

Holy shit, how did I not know about ALT+TAB?!

That'll give me time to read a few more words rather than moving the mouse up to the minimize button.

Syracuse has not yet announced a timetable on when the Carrier Dome renovations will begin or be completed.

maybe before we play there again in 12 years.

We beat Ohio State by 14 in week 2. Granted, it wasn't as ugly, but they still ran the table all the way.

But based on the scenario, it looks like that fourth spot would be between 12-1 VT, 11-1 Texas A&M, 12-0 Baylor, and the 11-1 loser of OSU/Michigan. It'd be hard to keep out a conference champ over teams that already lost to someone already in the CFP.

And I really think that the committee is going to try to keep Baylor out as best as they can to minimize that whole narrative. Baylor's best chance at getting in would be to go 12-0, and have everyone else drop at least one game.

Not applicable to the subject. This was in Hokiesports.com this morning. Captions anyone?

The one thing I will say is this. I think things are getting much more exciting in the college football race with the 4 team playoffs and the digital age of recruiting. Teams are balancing talent level much better (instead of every big player going to P5 teams) and we're finally starting to see the SEC level off in terms of competition level. The fact that we're even talking about whether the playoffs will have 2 ACC teams or 2 B1G teams or 2 SEC teams or (insert undefeated non P5 team) just shows how exciting this year could be. And imagine if we had that 8 team playoff...

what could hurt us is that our loss to Tennessee was ugly on paper and in person. Lose like that to Alabama, but finish out in a dominant fashion, that's one thing. Lose to UT like that and have them stumble through the rest of the season only to get equally embarrassed by Bama(for a second time) in the SECCG? Doesn't paint us in a good light.

That said, if we're a one loss team come bowl season and our wins have been decisive, I don't see another team looking better.

TEABAG PAULUS!

I remember when people brought boxes upon boxes of Lipton teabags to the game so we could hold them by the strings and shake/spin them while Paulus was shooting free throws. So much fun.

Louisville does have the advantage of putting 63 points on FSU, and multiple 60+ point games.

aTm beat Prairie View 67-0, but the rest of their margins of victory have been 21 points or less.

So I guess one could say he was...pleading the 5th

Why not? If Bama loses to Tennessee that continues to make our loss that much "better." Bama then beats A&M and wins out, then they're in the Championship game again against Tennessee. If Tennessee wins, then if we handle business and win out I think there's no way you can keep us out beating Miami, UNC, and Clemson/Lville.

So, I argue that a Tennessee win is ideal.

Assuming Louisville and Clemson both go undefeated the rest of the way, you think the committee would take 2 ACC teams over 2 SEC teams? If TA&M loses to Bama and wins out, they would be in the exact same position as Louisville having lost only to a top 3 team, but not representing in the championship game. I think TA&M gets in over Louisville. The ACC is movin' on up but they haven't overtaken the SEC yet. Granted, they have a slightly tougher road the rest of the way so the odds are not in their favor.

a 1-loss Louisville team does not hop over a 1-loss ACC champion, period.

Is an undefeated Washington a lock over an undefeated Baylor?

I don't see a one loss aTm team getting in over other undefeated or one loss conference champions.

If Tenn wins the SEC east, I'd say that loss won't hurt us assuming our body of work from here on out includes solid wins over Miami, Pitt, ND, and Clemson.

all that still makes us a toss up with an undefeated washington or Baylor. Three teams for one spot.

EDIT: you know when you start typing a comment and your boss walks in and you have to ALT-TAB out of there ASAP and you come back and finish it later only to find that everyone else has already made the same points you were going to?

That's when you just edit the post to put up a funny gif.
