The spread on the other hand, is moved by the casinos to get as close to 50% of the money on either side as possible. So the spread moved heavily in our favor because too much money was being bet on the Hokies and they need to entice more bettors to take the Tarheels.

I think the 19th-percentile game against Liberty is hurting.

Of course they don't HAVE TO pass, but they are in a situation where a pass is much more likely. Passing Downs measures their performance on those down regardless of whether the team actually passed or not.

This is like the classic "but you can't measure heart!" argument against using statistics to describe performance. Um, if heart is improving performance then you ARE measuring the effect of it - it's just all wrapped up in ability and planning and everything else.
Besides I believe a vast majority of the rain will be from about 6 am to 6 pm which...unfortunately is game time
I picked mine up at the ticket office over the summer. They had about a million there when I went but I'd say they went pretty quick. They were and still are wildly popular.
You do realize that 2" of rain in a 3 hour period is really heavy rain right? Yeah we wont be getting a direct hit but a rain band plus some heavier winds from a hurricane (30 mph gusts) are enough to make this a very sloppy game

To clarify: the direction of the conference is very basketball-centric, so the Carolina schools (and Swofford himself being a UNC guy) really drive that influence. Football is pretty much playing second fiddle (and now even leaving tv revenue on the table) just to satisfy a few influential members. Pretty poor prioritizing compared to the B1G and SEC.

I'm no rocket surgeon, but based on the data I calculate the final score to be 77-6 favoring VT. I know what you're going to say...and no...I have no idea how they miss an extra point.
