See, that's specifically what I like about him. Then again, I think the world would be a better place if all sports were called by the guys who do soccer on Univision.

This. NFL coaches have contract negotiations, franchise players and free agents. College coaches have decommits and transfers. It's part of your job. STFU and coach.

Depth Chart Update: just found out that this will be Lawson's first career start under Coach Fuente. He's expected to play majority of snaps with Evans filling in for the final half of the 4th qtr.
For a company with the reach and demand for content that ESPN has, they have plenty of non-subscription means for revenue generation. There's a fine balance, but they should limit the paywall to truly premium content and/or services. If they start moving more and more basic content and coverage behind the wall, they can actually hurt themselves by driving away unique visitors that they could be serving ads to. Case in point, I used to read ESPN articles on football all the time, now I pretty much only use it to check scores. That's ad impressions they don't get anymore from non-subscribers who gave up on finding good content for free.
With the way they play on Saturday's, no wonder it seems LOLUVA players are playing on asphalt without pads, afraid of tackling or being tackled, diving, and so on..
What's this I keep reading/hearing about LOLUVA "friends"?? This confuses us.
Bye Week creates more controversy than Jerod Evans.
and esp more comments than the Alabama backup transferring
I like your spirit... but I just don't see that happening.
I think the key here is that no one is saying we should celebrate the guy for leaving, just that Saban shouldn't denigrate him for it. Just let him go.
Some friends are heading to Disney for the week. So...sucks for them huh?
Score one for us geeks.
It's not real. A guy did a theme.
"What if other schools Duckified their uniforms."
With David Ortiz retiring this year, go to Fenway if you have the chance.
Yeah I sat with some LOLUVA friends in the students section one year (2004?). I wore a blue blazer and orange/blue striped tie and had my face painted orange. At kickoff I stripped down to the waste and was painted up in maroon. I treated the game like any other (keys out on 3rd, yelling my face off). It stopped being fun very quickly since all my friends were pissed off.
TD;DR if you're sitting with Hokies, cheer like you're in lane. If you're with the opponents fans, tone it down and just cheer when we do something big
If I were there, 1) MIT, 2) BC Game for a half, 3) Harvard .... Last) Baseball
Agreed. I think one thing that gets lost in a discussion on this topic is that a program, particularly like Saban's, evaluates the talent available each recruiting class and tries to decide which guys fit his program best.
When he brings a guy in, he's telling the player that he thinks the player is going to contribute to the program - let's not forget, Saban needs to look out for more than the success of any single player, he has a program to look after not just this year, but needs to plan for the next five years.
When a kid comes in who should contribute in those five years decides to leave, then the coach has to remake his plans for both the short and long terms at the player's position.
He'll be 5'9" by the time he graduates. Let's just hope he and Bucky never come in contact or they'll be annihilated.
They could hold it in my back yard and I wouldnt go after how the ACC has handled this. And I went twice to Charlotte and once to Jacksonville
If a good play for us happens, bring the ruckus. That's about all the advice I have

I think he's way better suited to calling a high scoring spread offense.
