I'm saying the worst one was the first one with the bad snap. Killed our drive that could have put us up by three scores and gift wrapped a TD for UT.
I know Chung looked to play the entire game at center but did any of the other linemen play the entire game? I'm wondering if rotation for fatigue is a thing on the OL like it is for every othe personnel group in Fuente's scheme. Anyone notice?

I had a good experience. I headed into the game about 6:30 and didn't have to wait in any security lines to get to elevator A. My mom and some of my other family came in about 7:30 and said they only had to wait abouto 5 minutes. I had to wait about 45 minutes to an hour in traffic to get out of Earhart West after finally getting all of our tailgate stuff put back though. Sorry you had to deal with that.
No, Teller is a liability out there. He killed us with penalties last night and his more egregious one completely gutted us of momentum, seeing us go from 1dt and 10 from the 41 to 3rd down on the 16. The next play we fumbled and it snowballed.
2 personal fouls will get your ass benched and deservedly so. I now understand why he isn't being played.
The 2 fumbles that really cost the game were Cams Fumble in the Redzone and then the Muffed Punt following. Felt like we had the momentum swinging our way on that Drive and surely would have scored to make it a 1 TD game. And who knows had we kept the ball on that Punt. Just rediculous that every single fumble seemed to go right into the Vols hands.
It's not petty when he cost us two significant first downs.

Stroman made smart decisions on every kickoff and punt return. He got burned twice by size of the WR but played ok down the stretch.
The teller thing is killing me. Just watch the tapes there is no way Petit is even close to being in Tellers league as far as ability and the holes he makes! Petit was getting pushed back five yards while Teller was pushing his guy 10yds down the field. Who cares that he got a penalty that's petty crap!!!!
Yes, but they're supposed to LEAD to bigger and more explosive plays (and points).
They definately are one of the best at non-moving traffic, took us 2.5 hrs to get back when it only took us about 45 to get in.
The scheme is fine but it doesn't look like this staff has control of this team. The O line shuffling is stopping any kind of consistency and the personal fouls are a sign of a lack of discipline. As far as the ball control issues I have no idea what's going on with that maybe we need to bring the boxing glove on a stick back. (jk) But the most telling thing was in the post game interviews when Rogers and Ekanem both talked about the lack of focus during practice this week.
Couldn't agree more. In addition to the obvious ball security issues, this is my second biggest concern right now. Watching the game, I thought the center exchanges looked sloppy all night until I later learned the coaches decided to start Chung over Gallo because of better practice performance. Although practice and how you perform in a game are correlated, it can't be that black and white from week to week. There is a reason Gallo has been the primary center for over a year and the sudden switch was stupid and burned us. Same goes for Teller. I get he needs to play smarter and clean up the penalties. So pull him aside for a series, give him a tongue lashing and put him back in the game. Have to take the good and the bad with a guy like him whose talent level and ceiling are so much higher than the alternative. I'm all about building depth, but Petitt was getting walked over out there. This team has the potential, hope we can turn it around sooner than later and the coaches really reflect this week on the personnel decisions.

I hear what BOTH (and others) are saying (and in general along with most points I agree, but I'm talking about quick inside slants to Ford, Philips, Hodges, Rogers. Getting rid of the ball quicker and keeping Tenn on their heels. Plus, we needed points, not yds.
I wondered if we didn't have fireworks because we brought skipper. The Tech band was miked up for about half of the game it seemed and if it was at halftime the volume was turned down to half of Tenn. That was a Tenn home game for sure.
For a place that handles races with a large crowd the traffic, concessions, and logistics outside the stadium seemed like they were entirely run by locals who were brought in for just this event.
I'm encouraged despite the score. We look so much more like a football team than years past. Send Wyatt to anger management classes and stroman to a flag football league and we'll be fine!
I may be mistaken but that's how Fuentes offense works. Get very consistent plays to keep the chains systematically moving and occasionally a big play will pop e.g. Dragon's TD. Those sweeps are not supposed to be explosive
That is a nice average for a RB but not for a guy running misdirection/gimmick run plays designed to explosive plays.
Do Bucky Hodges and Tremaine Edmunds still play for the Hokies? They were very quiet in the game. I expected them both to have big games against the Vols.

I think it will eventually shift away from what we currently know. Our team is filled with Beamer recruits and because of that they felt exactly how we all did when Tennessee came back in the second quarter... Here we go again.
The culture shift is going to happen gradually. That is not going to go away in 2 games. Fuente needs a team of his guys and that mentality will change.
Yeah, we never went near the mall area there on race weeks. Learned that lesson the first time, as even during the race there's no movement on the roads.
