Can we take a moment to appreciate how great the kickoffs have been. Slye has put almost everyone not just into the endzone but out the backside of it.

Yea, even if we just flip the field on that drive, the game would've been completely different. VT had all the momentum, Tenn's offense was struggling, and VT gave them an easy 7. Gotta make them work for it to get back into the game. Make them feel the pressure, try to do too much, leading to bad throws, dropped passes, and possibly turnovers.

Stroman needs to direct traffic. So no, the fumble wasn't his fault, per se, but he needs to be screaming for Williams to get the heck out of his way. Stroman knows he needs to come up to catch the ball. He's got to communicate that to all the coverage guys coming down the field, rather than just run into them. Punt returns are chaotic and the returner is working in a tight space most of the time, but that's what he's got to be trained to do.

I must be the only person there that got into the game easily...left thunder mountain at 7 and was in my seat by like 7:30.

Concession/beer tent lines were absolutely horrendous. As a Nascar fan who has been to plenty of races there over the years, I can honestly say that was by far the worst they have ever operated. No clue what went on there.

All the UT fans around us were very pleasant and nice...and to be on the front stretch, was pretty damn surprised how many UT fans were on the Tech side.

Most definitely a home game for UT...I expected it to be, but not that blatant. Even the world record plaque thingy was given solely to a room full of UT guys. Enter Sandman not being played for the entrance really pissed me off (I also wanted to see the parting of the T thing they do).

The only thing that cures a bad perception is winning. Until we do that, you don't exactly deserve to be seen as a good football team.

Evans, Rogers and Ekanem all mentioned practice issues. WTF!?! Are there any leaders on this team? Rogers is probably going to ripping guys up at practice this week.

On a side note I loved the punishment in Last Chance U where the coach made the guy barrel roll the length of the field. I think they should try that on Teller.

At least I don't have to put up with PSU fans rubbing this in my face. I gained immunity from ridicule thanks to Pitt for one week.

You think in the 3 years of planning they would have attended and talked with atleast Neyland Stadium since they plan* for 102,000 people on gameday operations. Never been to nascar race, but if i was guessing this was run as a nascar event with football fans.

There's got to be a Big difference in entry/exit of people and cars and bigger difference in the water issue for something with halftime and kickoff and all day pregaming. On the positive side, they had working water fountains found pretty frequently. And constantly going to them allowed me to miss lots of the UT bank/odd prize giveaways and even as a bonus some of the game when VT made errors. And spent 0 dollars on drinks. $7 for a beer is that really normal.

Also got to workout a lot doing the lateral stand and shift waiting an hour to get in, then the dash to find your seat right before kickoff.

Was the VT football team put through this as to why the entrance was so bad?

Right. Guys tried too hard when they faced adversity and it cost them with turnovers.

I don't think it has anything to do with scheme. Guys need to protect the ball. Stroman on the PR was him being too aggressive, and Cam has fumbled in back to back games?

Umm...not true. The language of blocking below the waist rule has changed, but it is not an unsportsmanlike foul.

If Wyatt was DQed, he would have had to leave the sidelines and the field. Also, the ref would have to announce such DQ.

He committed 2 stupid penalties, Fuente pulled him. That's it.

Of course not, but that's not a part of the prevalent victim complex in this site. All too often I see people complaining about how we don't get attention, how ESPN only cares about the SEC, how the announcers give credit to the other team and disrespect our team. It's mostly in people's head and isn't a good look at all. I think people need to quit caring about it.

Why in all things holy did we kick it from the Virginia state line? We should've had a play for Sam to take down their throats

I agree. I think the defense played extremely well and showed great resilience. Also the offense played well in gaining positive yards. Take away those turnovers and it's a different ball game. Gotta protect the ball!

And the ESPN FANTASY App crashed on the first day of games. Awesome hope your lineups are set for late games.

While Chung had a bad game, the Center QB shotgun snap has been bad for a couple of YEARS. We have had too many snapped over the QB's head.

Wow, what got up your britches today? Do you disagree that what he did was egregious and should have been penalized?

I camped in the Lady Equipment Lot so getting in and out of the stadium wasn't too bad but I did see some bottlenecks.

My biggest issue was the in stadium announcer. Total Tennessee homer. I definitely felt like I was at Neyland Stadium.

However, I had a blast. I thought the venue was really, really cool. I hope they do something similar in the future. Being at an event with that many fans was wild. If only the team had not made some key mistakes. It still stings but I've got hope and I'm optimistic.

I feel we gave them the game. UR not going to win games with that many turnovers and flags. I don't want to take anything away from UT. They took advantage of our mistakes and blew us out! UT should win a lot of game this year. Hopefully we can get a handle on the turnovers and we will a lot of games as well.

Correct.
Not including the fumbles and penalties, I think our "O" is better and, of course, our D is legit.

We can beat any of the teams on our schedule if we can get the fumbles and dumb penalties worked out.

I thought Gallo started the game and after a couple of bad snaps got replaced by Chung?

Teller F'ed up but Colt is not ready to play. We should have lived with Tellers aggressive play or replaced him with Someone other than Colt.

Stroman should have left most of the kickoffs to either stay in the endzone or let them go in. We ended up with bad starting position on a bunch of his returns.
