That "best G5 team in America" lost their 2014 homecoming game to the cupcake:

Alexander is the probably starter across from Facyson. In that case our corners will be 6'2" and 6'3" which is about as tall as you're going to see at that position. Fades & jump balls aren't all about height/length but assuming the defender is in good position, a taller CB will make it a tougher play for the offense.
Butch Jones needs to lay off the MDMA before bed
Exum was waived/injured by the Vikings and cleared so he reverts to their IR.
but it was the big plays early that got VT on their heals, and then a lot of big plays late.
Agree with most of what you said except the first part of that. IMOP Foster's crew (which was having a bit of a "down season" stats and ranking wise) was the only unit that kept us in the game, mid way through the 3rd qtr. I felt they did a very excellent job limiting the big plays until mid 3rd.
Butch Jones gets his haircut at Supercuts. Helluva deal on Tuesdays!
Butch Jones also sweats a lot when he sleeps. Do you guys think I should see a doctor about that? It's like...a lot of sweat.
I didnt hate anything he said.
Yeah that one had me wondering.
Appy is certainly a good test, and certainly a lot better than Liberty, but they're not THAT good. Tennessee should have walked all over them and they got taken to OT. There's no way to dismiss that as acceptable. App would struggle to remain bowl eligible in a conference like the American, let alone a Power 5 conference.
UVA has a football team?

Good Analysis, although this is probably wrong right here:
VT's D and Special Teams Will Be Tough. Moving the ball against VT will be difficult. It always is. I have to think our best shot is to just keep pounding away at them in the rushing game and try to wear the defense out. Given that Fuente runs a fast-paced offense, this strategy is viable against VT. And yes, this means using Dobbs as a runner much more frequently than last week against App State.
The best way to beat Foster is big plays and break the defense, not pound them into submission. The best blue print to beat Foster's D with a physical team would be Stanford in the 2011 Orange Bowl. They wore VT down, but it was the big plays early that got VT on their heals, and then a lot of big plays late.
It was bad enough that Mrs. Freefall asked me at one point "I thought Marcus Davis was gone?". Ouch.
We'll know more after the play da U in a couple weeks.
Appalachian State: You're Not Back Until You Play Us!
Butch Jones only uses laser discs, swearing by their superior image and sound quality compared to DVDs. And Blu-ray... don't get him started on that fad...
Ugh I struggled giving you a leg for the joke behind the completely true statement on that one.
Butch Jones puts sugar free gummy bears in the candy dish at work.
this is funny...but on that particular day, I believe the horse saw a horned frog.
And need we be reminded, we've played ONE game?
I cant get over how tame that comments section was either. I mean there was some gentle ribbing of the VT fan commenter, but nothing out of good fun
The horse must have seen a spider
It's kind of harder to be much of a receiving threat out of the backfield if the defense can tell the wheel route is coming because the film shows you never get a hand-off.
Butch Jones is gluten free because it is the hip thing to do without actually knowing what gluten is
I think this is part of the reason why they want to start 6' 3" Adonis Alexander even though Stroman looked pretty good last game.
Purely out of curiosity, what kind of popcorn?
No no, they're now worried about basketball, leaving the pointy ball funny business to the plebes where it belongs
