well, to be fair. They have those guys and we have phil...which actually just proves your point even more.

When the kicker has his own Evan's style post-scoring celebration, you know he is in the zone
Aaand on cue, Bronco's response to the debacle that was the Richmond game:
Intense film review of sideline morale.

Because that's stopped them from crowing the last year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years, 6 years, 7 years, 8 years, 9 years, 10 years, 11 years, 12 years
Spent all of last weekend in Knoxville for a wedding. Tried to wear my hokies gear anytime I wasn't in a tux. Got a good snapshot of Vol fans reactions after App St. game and heading into Bristol next week. It was a good warm up to what we'll have to listen to this weekend. Nothing earth shattering, just my takeaway from what I heard first hand:
- Majority of Vols gave App St somewhat overly-dramatic praise, such as "they could beat most teams in the bottom half of SEC" and "probably will go undefeated the rest of the year (including Miami at home)"
- Most expect to beat us by 2+ TDs in BoB
- Swore if Josh Dobbs doesn't play b/c of broken ribs would probably be the only way VT could luck up and pull it out (old news now)
- Consensus is Dobbs has no long ball
- Their OL was surprisingly weak point in ASU game
- Callers on Vol radio were hating on Butch, saying his in-game coaching is horrible, and nothing has changed from the loses from the past couple of years
- Feel the crowd will be 70/30 Vols fans in Bristol
- VT will have no answer for Hurd/Kamara punch
Last weekend definitely got me fired up for Battle of Bristol, and glad I made the decision to go now, even if I won't be able to see anything. Looking forward to the matchup, the festivities, and roaming through VT tailgates. And hopefully giving it to my in-laws a little bit after we come away with a 34-28 victory over UT.
Butch brings Smokey over to your house and lets him butt-scoot on your rug when you're not looking.
perfect conference for them to wade in the kiddie section of the FBS pool while getting acclimated to the temperature.
Careful there, buddy. Otherwise, you're liable to make them hot, hot, hot under their little Mountaineer collars.
because we made the extra point, right?
Yeah but last I checked an 8-4 SEC team is far from a nobody
A real man would have taken the boat to the dump (or left it in the ex-wife's back yard) and gotten another one.
One good way to pad wins is to play football in the Sun Belt. Really is the perfect conference for them to wade in the kiddy section of the FBS pool while getting acclimated to the temperature.
Don't jinx it (you know, unless you're jinxing it for other teams)!
I would say they ran it 2-4 times per game at Memphis.
Houston is going to ride that victory right into a BIG 12 invite.
One more red herring. I counted 3 times that a VT QB targeted CJ Carroll on a "Win" route concept that Baylor uses. Basically, your split end (often your best WR) stands up and turns to face the QB at the snap. The corner comes up on him. The slot receiver attacks the cushion of his coverage. If he gets inside leverage, he runs a corner. If he gets outside leverage, he runs a post. Carroll ran 3 corner routes with Hodges and/or Ford standing there at the line of scrimmage basically doing nothing. I would expect that we will see our top guys in twins with the slot guy on the corner route (see Bucky GW vs Ohio State) as a regular concept this year.
Sort of OT but here are latest bowl projections based off week two polls and week on showings: http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/17476494/college-footbal...
2014 was App's first year as a FBS school. Still weren't even bowl eligible that year if I remember correctly. They have come a LONG way since 2014.
I reserve my right of: "No Comment", and will allow the play on the field to provide the most adequate response.
:D
Is the pitch option a major part of a Fuente offense? I was surprised to see it and I'm generally wary of something like that where execution mistakes are usually turnovers but Fuente's remarks afterwards made it seem as if it's a play they rep quite a bit.
I imagine Tenn dropped out of top 10?
Believe it or not but App State got more credit in the Coaches poll than VT did.
Butch Jones then eats those sugar free gummy bears, bogards the handicapped stall in the office bathroom, and then leaves without washing his hands
Stop trying to make me like you, Tennessee.

note to self, using "TOPPLES" in a title is a good way to drive site traffic because of all the skimmers out there who read it as "TOPLESS"
