We'll just agree to disagree then. I'm fine with Penn State punishing him as his employer, but I just don't think that legal and moral issues belong in the NCAA's jurisdiction for punishments that don't do anything to ruin the integrity of the sport. A professor wouldn't lose their name on papers that they published if they did something like this but we would expect them to be punished by their employer and the legal system.

That's not really debatable.

I would agree, except that the NCAA has set a precedent of making teams vacate wins that they believe were gained under suspect circumstances. GT really did win the 2009 ACC championship game, it's not debatable, except the NCAA forced them to vacate it, so they didn't.

4 star redshirt freshman... will get more intell this weekend (hanging out with the most knowledgeable Vols fan I know.) Supposedly he is a better pocket passer than Dobbs, but not a great runner and "not a great fit for Jones offense."

He did what he did in an official capacity, and it was for both personal and professional reasons.

I see what you're saying, but part of the reason for his record wins was the last 10 years of coaching while overlooking an ongoing situation where little boys were being raped, and stopping police from doing their jobs.

I think that warrants overturning those 10 years of wins, taking away or reducing the pension, removing the statue. If we just say "Oh, it was deplorable", but we're going to overlook what he gained by doing it, we're rewarding the behavior.

Sam Rodgers will barrel his way through defenders turning what looks like a 2-3 yd run into a solid 12+ yds. CJF definitely knows that #45 is a sure way to set the tone he wants.

Oh man, I tricked myself into adding the "d". I know everyone is always talking about it, and I convinced myself that everyone always leaves out the "d". Tyree has the "d". Man, I need to step up before gameday.

What is your experience with tropical storms/hurricanes and how they affect fishing through the fall? I'm fishing the Chesapeake and OBX and I've found the storms will blow redfish off the flats and if it is early enough, they will return that fall. Stripers will eventually come back, the amounts vary depending on the bait. I'm just pissed because this storm wrecked 4 straight days of stalking tailing and cruising redfish for me down in the OBX and I'm praying they return sooner than next year. On the bright side, I've found the redfish fishing to be excellent in the years following those with a big storm in the fall. This year has been good.

I'm thinking that they did this so that alumni would have something interesting to talk about after the first quarter of home games.

Smyth: "You know Caruthers, I heard an interesting discussion this morning."
Caruthers: "Do tell! Go on Smyth, tell me more while I pour us another Zima!"

Great player- but he has a tendency to overpursue. As I will show in my preview, he was as out of position as his replacements.

Appy State is a damn good team. 11-2 last year. While we have some talents that are probably better that Appy, we have to prove that we a re a better team. As for play calling- based on last year's Vols, that pretty much is what they are. Either Dobbs, Hurd, or Kamara get into the open, or they struggle to put drives together. The Florida game was brutal to watch.
